A few weeks ago, our colleagues Katharina Anuscheh Behrend, LL.M. and Leonel Lisboa participated in a workshop co-hosted with the Responsible Contracting Project and the German Institute for Human Rights to discuss the 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 (𝗘𝗠𝗖𝘀). These clauses are designed to embed human rights and environmental due diligence (#HREDD) into supplier contracts, aligning with the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (#CSDDD). Led by the Responsible Contracting Project and supported by the Initiative for Global Solidarity, this ongoing consultation process seeks input from diverse stakeholders to shape the final EMCs.   𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲! Stakeholders from all sectors—including businesses, civil society, and governmental organisations—are invited to participate.
