The celebration of the traditional Japanese festival Tanabata, organized by the Japanese Business Alliance in Serbia (JBAS), with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Serbia, was held at the Museum of the History of Yugoslavia in Belgrade, in the presence of Jelena Begovic, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Adrijana Mesarović, Minister of Economy, the ambassador of Japan, H.E. Akira Imamura, and Goran Pekez, president of JBAS. The celebration of the famous "Festival of Stars" has been symbolically marked by hanging wishes written on Tanzaku papers on bamboo trees specially planted for this occasion. H.E. Akira Imamura expressed his satisfaction with the progress in bilateral relations and economic cooperation: "I greatly appreciate that JBAS supports the activities of its member companies through expert advice, building business networks and other activities, which greatly contributes to the strengthening of economic relations between Japan and Serbia. Following the successful visit of the Serbian business delegation to Japan, it is expected that this fall the business delegation of JETRO - Japan External Trade Organization will visit Serbia. This visit will further encourage investments by Japanese companies in Serbia and improve our economic ties." Goran Pekez, president of the Japanese Business Alliance in Serbia (JBAS), pointed out that Japan is among the 10 largest investor countries in Serbia, and that this association of Japanese investors is very proud of that: "We hope that the increased interest of Japanese investors in Serbia, among other things, is the result of our continuous efforts to share our experiences with other Japanese companies. Our joint plan for the future is clear, we want to use the great potential of the World Expo 2025 in Osaka and the Belgrade Expo 2027 to promote Serbia as a destination for investments by Japanese companies." On the occasion, the Japanese business alliance in Serbia launched the initiative Society 5.0, Japan’s government vision of the ongoing worldwide technological revolution and social transformation with human development and well-being at the center of its goals, with the aim to support the Serbian economy and institutions in sustainable development in the fields of modern transport and urbanization, the energy sector, the education system, as well as to encourage economic competitiveness through the digital transformation of the industry. "With Japan by our side, only sky is the limit", stated today President Aleksandar Vučić, who underlined a bold vision for the future of economic ties at the historic Serbia-Japan Business Forum. "Our progress is outpacing many, and with greater Japanese presence, the possibilities are endless. Serbia is among the best in Europe for providing subsidies to companies like yours. Our trade exchange may still be under 350 million euros, but I am confident we’ll soon unlock much greater potential, achieving our dreams together." Prime Minister Miloš Vučević echoed this spirit of collaboration: "Serbia offers a stable and predictable environment, with clear monetary and fiscal policies, and an education system primed to grow alongside industry, where we see tremendous opportunities for partnership with Japanese companies." In addition to the esteemed Japanese guests, 40 members of JBAS - Japanese Business Alliance in Serbia proudly participated in this pivotal moment. We are honored to have contributed to this remarkable event, hosted by the Government of Serbia. #Serbia #Japan #BusinessForum #EconomicPartnership #Innovation #JETRO #JBAS #FutureForward

🌟 Yesterday, I had the pleasure of participating in the “Networking by the Embassy” event, organized by the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria Romania (BCCBR) and hosted at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Romania. A wonderful chance to reconnect with old friends and long-time collaborators🤗 and to make new connections. 🤝✨ Great company, good food 🍽️, and wine 🍷, and light conversations ... or not quite. 😄 We talked about the access to Schengen 🚪 and the shared desire of both countries to overcome this obstacle 🛤️, about "Лека нощ, деца!" 🧒🌙 and the times when we, the Romanians, used to see food more often on Bulgarian television 📺 than in our own stores, about the similarities and differences (mostly similarities) between the politicians in our countries 🏛️🗳️and about competition law (how else?). However, most of the discussions revolved around Apollodorus of Damascus 🏗️! Yes, indeed! All the participants in the conversation agreed, with a touch of bitter humor 🤭, that the best chance we have of seeing a new bridge built over the Danube 🌉 in the near future would be if we could bring Apollodorus back to life, Jurassic Park style. 🦕 On a more serious note, there was much discussion about rail networks 🚂, highways 🛣️, and bridges. Especially bridges. 🌉 To whom it may concern, closer trade relations 🤝 between Romania and Bulgaria need more than just people and companies willing to cooperate. They need also physical infrastructure 🛠️! #NewBridgeOverDanube! I take this opportunity to thank Doru Dragomir, President of BCCBR, for inviting me. 🙏👏 🇷🇴🤝🇧🇬 #Networking #BusinessRelations #RomaniaBulgaria #BuildingBridges #TradeRelations #Infrastructure #Collaboration

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲 💼 💡 The XII Argentina-UK Business Networking Day, organised by the British Argentine Chamber of Commerce, was held at the Argentine Ambassador's residence in London. The event featured a networking coffee, an opening panel, a keynote on Argentina's economic outlook, discussions on UK-Argentina business and trade opportunities, and solutions for the global energy transition. It concluded with a keynote speaker and a cocktail reception. Federico Cincotta, a legal advisor at Cincotta International Advisory Firm, provided interesting insights, "There is a legal framework to facilitate trade and provide international protection for foreign and domestic investment. Thus, foreigners and nationals will have the same rights to obtain credit and access all sectors of the economy. This will offer large investors protection not previously available under prior legislation." @Pedro Sonderéguer, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Economy at the Argentine Embassy London, also contributed, "The trending news in our country revolves around our president and all the changes he proposes. However, it's important to remember that Argentina offers numerous investment opportunities. Argentina is much more than Vaca Muerta; there are many other prospects, including discussions about investing in a dinosaur theme park!" #deheza #events #business #opportunities #argentina #networking Fiona Clouder
