It doesn’t have to be so hard, or exhausting - when you have the right network and relationships in place. Patty says to leverage your time, energy and money - and this means who are the podcast hosts, Facebook Group Admins, magazine writers, social following, video show..whatever the case may be, that you can connect with. Do some research. Find who has ‘like’ audiences, or has some kind of overlap in your business. ⭐ BUT do the give first BEFORE you do the ask. Why did I start my own podcast? It wasn't in the hopes that people would listen to myself and a guest speak for 1.5 hours. And it wasn't to become the next Joe Rogan or Alex Cooper (although that would be cool). It was to raise brand awareness through short clip content that could be posted on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn. Starting from zero audience, the podcast has now garnered over 500k views. My logic was these views would help me get in touch with more potential prospects to help grow my business. And it's working. I'm not here to brag or say that my podcast is amazing, I'm here to say that if you're a business owner or salesperson, you should absolutely consider starting your own podcast. In my opinion, it's the easiest way to create content to help promote whatever product / service you're trying to market. Imagine vlogging everyday!? No thanks - way harder than producing a podcast. We just launched a little re-brand and I wanted to say thanks for the audience support over the last 1.5 years! #kbdpodcast

Do you have a dialed in process for podcast outreach (pitching to get on shows)? If you don’t, you should. Sending out mass emails and hoping for responses WON’T work. Nathan Hirsch from Podcast Outreach Formula says… ✅ Leverage multiple communication channels to connect with the host (NOT just email). Find out where they ‘hang out’ the most ✅ Follow them on social media, engage with their content ✅ Avoid generic pitches - personalize them, demonstrate that you have listened to their show ✅ If you don’t hear back, follow up (politely), the host likely receives a ton of pitches Pretty simple steps but crucial to follow if you want to get booked on podcasts.
