Everyone has the right to ask an organisation for copies of information held about them. Some disabled people may experience communication difficulties and may therefore have difficulty making a subject access request (SAR). Every organisation has a legal duty to make reasonable adjustments if they wish to make a request. ❓ What is a reasonable adjustment will depend on the specific needs of the individual? Before responding to a SAR you should talk to the person to find out how best to meet their needs. This may be by providing the response in a particular format that is accessible to the person, including Braille. If an individual thinks you have failed to make a reasonable adjustment, they can make a claim under the Equality Act 2010 or the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (NI). 🎂 Happy 200th birthday, braille! From September 2024 to August 2025, we're celebrating the six-dot tactile reading system that enables millions of blind and partially sighted people around the world to access the power of literacy. We're kicking off celebrations with a #Braille200 special series on RNIB Connect Radio all this week: https://lnkd.in/eZKMGbBE 📻 #Braille #RNIB [Image description: "We are celebrating 200 years of braille" in text with a visual representation of the braille above, separated by a pink line. The text "Remember - braille is read by touch, this is just a visual representation" and the Braille 200 logo is in the corner, with a visual representation of braille, and RNIB and EBU logos.]

For the next 12 months we're celebrating 200 years of braille! We have a number of resources to help schools celebrate too, teaching children about what braille is, its history, and how it's used. #Braille200 📚 https://lnkd.in/dtJ6ZRVw [Image description: "We have braille resources for schools!" in text with a visual representation of the braille above, separated by a pink line. My latest Headshot- story of it below.
Shooting beautiful award-winning images that will get your business noticed. Established 2008, with clients large and small, established and new. Photography with a business mindset. Headshots/Portraits/People/PR.
Delighted today to let the world see my latest #headshot with the very relaxed Colm Dowling. Taken on Friday morning last week at the offices of Safehinge Primera with a combination of two lights and a silver bounce - along with a couple of lenses for different outcomes. A blether and two strong black coffees later we were both happy with the results and happy to make the choice. Here is the image chosen by Colm - I think you'll agree its a strong shot and conveys all the good things you'd want from a headshot - confidence and affability among others. Congratulations, Colm on winning the West of Scotland KTP Centre Image Competition and it was a pleasure to judge all the entries, along with Richard Lamb and Amelia Whitelaw, and award the prize to your good self for a well-composed and meaningful competition entry. Cheers! Guy Elaine Wallace Eileen Maltby

Connecticut Huskies | SLOB DHO Stagger Slip (Orlando Maybe?) • 2 inbounds the ball on the right sideline • 5 sets a down screen for 4 at the nail, (3 cuts up to the key) • 2 hits 4, (2 cuts in to the key) • 4 drives toward 3 in the right corner for a [DHO] exchange on the right wing, (5 follows 4 & 3’s action to set a [STAGGER] or down near the elbow {if viewed as down screen screen this is an evolution of an ORLANDO action} • 3 drives toward the key, (5 [SLIPs] the screen) • 3 hits 5

Last week, our Head of Fire Safety, Josh Alderson, was invited to speak at MSB's hoarding workshop. Josh covered the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the responsibilities of Responsible Persons under this legislation. He also discussed the fire safety risks associated with hoarding, which affects about 5% of the population, and highlighted key considerations for landlords and housing providers. The focus on this session was on ensuring support is provided and conducting 'person-centred' fire risk assessments for residents identified as vulnerable. It's more common than many people realise. #FireSafety #FireRisk #FireRiskAssessment #UKHousing #SocialHousing #ResponsiblePersons
