240,000,000 people have sex daily. That's 10 million people an hour or 166,666 people a minute. This is relevant because: You realize that it's universal and everywhere, at all times, even though it's happening (at least most of the time) behind curtains. Many people are having sex, but with very little sex education globally available. That leads to a lot of frustration and bad sex. That's why it makes my heart jump when the Cosmopolitan Taiwan just published an article based on our input. Sex is universal! That's why sex education is needed everywhere. Let's not ban it but embrace it! Let's keep working to make sure everyone has the knowledge they need to explore their sexuality safely and happily. #Sexeducation #GlobalImpact #Beducated #Cosmopolitan #Taiwan #Sexualwellness

The Supreme Court has advocated for comprehensive sex education as a measure to reduce sexual crimes and tackle widespread misconceptions. This initiative is definitely a game-changer. For far too long, conversations around sex, consent, and healthy relationships have been swept under the rug, leaving young minds vulnerable to misinformation. The result? Rising cases of sexual crimes, gender-based violence, and distorted views of intimacy. Comprehensive sex education goes beyond just anatomy—it's about equipping individuals with the tools to understand consent, respect boundaries, and make informed choices. It’s about breaking the cycle of shame and stigma that surrounds natural human experiences, and fostering a culture of mutual respect and understanding. In a country where discussing sex is still taboo, this bold step by the judiciary is more than necessary—it's crucial. As a society, we need to ask ourselves: Are we doing enough to educate our youth on these topics? Ignorance is not an option anymore; education is empowerment. #SupremeCourt #SexEducation #Empowerment #BreakingTheStigma #ConsentMatters #EducationForAll Vishal Jalan || LinkedIn || LinkedIn Guide to Creating

A recent report from Culture Reframed reveals that 1 in 3 children have been exposed to explicit, hardcore pornography by age 12, which equates to roughly 25 million children in the U.S. alone. This exposure is alarming in many ways, one being that it often serves as a form of sex education for these young minds. Even more concerning is that over 87% of pornographic content portrays sexual violence against women. While this is a serious issue, there’s a solution. By providing comprehensive, ongoing sex education, we can empower children to make informed, healthy decisions based on real-life relationships, not the damaging depictions they see on a screen. I’ve had the privilege of leading sex education workshops in schools and businesses, empowering individuals to make smart, healthy decisions. 🎙️ The term ‘sex education’ immediately alarms many of us in Pakistan. The perceived definition changes across different socio-economic, educational, and class backgrounds, but it is generally misunderstood as promoting inappropriate behaviour. As a result, there are a host of myths and plenty of misinformation regarding sex education in the country. This, in turn, leads to a lack of conversation around this critical topic. Amna Ishtiaq and I discussed the importance of providing sex education to adolescents. 👉 Watch the full conversation: https://lnkd.in/dh_-EksK #SexEducation #YouthDevelopment #Parenting #Education #AdolescentHealth #Podcast #Pakistan

🗣️ “Unlike some Northern European countries which have for many years introduced sex education early and focused on normalising human sexuality, England has always taken a risk-focused, sex-negative approach.” Read our latest blog about why we need to be concerned about more than just arbitrary age-ratings in the new draft Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) guidance. 📖 https://bit.ly/46Z27LP

Imagine a world where Sex Education empowers youth. A world where curiosity about our bodies and how we grow up isn't met with hushed tones and awkward silences. A world where understanding intimacy and relationships is seen as empowering, not taboo. This world exists with comprehensive sex education! Think about it, butterflies aren't the only things that take flight during puberty. It's a time of incredible transformation, and shouldn't our education reflect that? Sex ed isn't about stripping away innocence; it's about giving young minds the tools to navigate this exciting, sometimes confusing, chapter with confidence. Young people are bombarded with messages about sex, often from unreliable sources. Let's equip them with accurate information, open communication, and the power to make healthy choices. So, what kind of world do you want to create? #Dexes #SexEdRewritten #Education #SexEdLetsTalk #EmpoweredYouth #BuildingTheFuture

Sex Education does not sexualise children, it teaches them about the rights from wrongs, so they can make informed decisions when they begin that stage of their life. It’s better than them learning from hearsay and leaving us to pick up the pieces when something goes wrong, because nobody knew the rules. Listen to Dr. Sophie King-Hill and Kieran McCartan talk more about this and the government's proposal to ban Sex Education on my latest podcast, see links below.
