Research conducted by the University of Miami Comprehensive sexual education is needed to help teenagers understand what strategies to adopt in case of peer pressure. Nobody has to have sex in order to be cool or be adult like. Https://https://lnkd.in/d4PWTasM Is there a comprehensive education in your country? What's in it for us : children who are growing up with the right information And for those who have gone passed that age ? Reframing assumptions that keep us saying yes when we want to say no Comprehensive sex education reduces sex related crimes: the more we are aware, the less people can manipulate or hurt us. What can we do? Ask for comprehensive sex education. What else ? I do a full sex Ed review, and I help people with understanding where they are and where they want to be sexually. A recent report from Culture Reframed reveals that 1 in 3 children have been exposed to explicit, hardcore pornography by age 12, which equates to roughly 25 million children in the U.S. alone. This exposure is alarming in many ways, one being that it often serves as a form of sex education for these young minds. Even more concerning is that over 87% of pornographic content portrays sexual violence against women. While this is a serious issue, there’s a solution. By providing comprehensive, ongoing sex education, we can empower children to make informed, healthy decisions based on real-life relationships, not the damaging depictions they see on a screen. I’ve had the privilege of leading sex education workshops in schools and businesses, empowering individuals to make smart, healthy decisions. 240,000,000 people have sex daily. That's 10 million people an hour or 166,666 people a minute. This is relevant because: You realize that it's universal and everywhere, at all times, even though it's happening (at least most of the time) behind curtains. Many people are having sex, but with very little sex education globally available. That leads to a lot of frustration and bad sex. That's why it makes my heart jump when the Cosmopolitan Taiwan just published an article based on our input. Sex is universal! That's why sex education is needed everywhere. Let's not ban it but embrace it! Let's keep working to make sure everyone has the knowledge they need to explore their sexuality safely and happily. #Sexeducation #GlobalImpact #Beducated #Cosmopolitan #Taiwan #Sexualwellness

The Supreme Court has advocated for comprehensive sex education as a measure to reduce sexual crimes and tackle widespread misconceptions. This initiative is definitely a game-changer. For far too long, conversations around sex, consent, and healthy relationships have been swept under the rug, leaving young minds vulnerable to misinformation. The result? Rising cases of sexual crimes, gender-based violence, and distorted views of intimacy. Comprehensive sex education goes beyond just anatomy—it's about equipping individuals with the tools to understand consent, respect boundaries, and make informed choices. It’s about breaking the cycle of shame and stigma that surrounds natural human experiences, and fostering a culture of mutual respect and understanding. In a country where discussing sex is still taboo, this bold step by the judiciary is more than necessary—it's crucial. As a society, we need to ask ourselves: Are we doing enough to educate our youth on these topics? Ignorance is not an option anymore; education is empowerment. #SupremeCourt #SexEducation #Empowerment #BreakingTheStigma #ConsentMatters #EducationForAll Vishal Jalan || LinkedIn || LinkedIn Guide to Creating

Sex Education does not sexualise children, it teaches them about the rights from wrongs, so they can make informed decisions when they begin that stage of their life. It’s better than them learning from hearsay and leaving us to pick up the pieces when something goes wrong, because nobody knew the rules. Listen to Dr. Sophie King-Hill and Kieran McCartan talk more about this and the government's proposal to ban Sex Education on my latest podcast, see links below. We welcome this important new report from Sex Education Forum which focuses on what young people want from #RSE Young people say RSHE in primary schools should be more robust and must teach the importance of consent and how to question and challenge gender stereotypes. They also call for flexibility for schools to cover the RSE topics at the age their pupils need and call for more support and training for teachers. We completely agree! ... and the sales bit - sorry - the Family Planning Association's Yasmine and Tom resource for primary schools is designed by teachers to cover everything you need for a high-quality #RSHE programme. First things first, please take a look at the Sex Education Forum report - it makes for an interesting read.
Creating better, more inclusive relationships and sex education (RSE) is an effort that requires the voices and involvement of young people, educators, parents, advocates, MPs, and more. At the Sex Education Forum, working together is central to everything we do. We’d like to thank our partners, Make it Mandatory and Sexpression:UK for the brilliant conversations that inspired new questions in the 2024 poll and all their support in raising the voices of young people regarding RSE. #RSEPoll2024 #ConsultMeOnRSE Make sure to read the excellent forewords in our report from Faustine Petron and Vidyut Chattopadhyay here: https://lnkd.in/dW7mdqzv
