It has been an interesting year to date for MDH Legal Costs. My ethos of seeking to attain efficient costs settlements for clients continues to be a successful approach. I have enabled clients to avoid the significant expense of preparing Bills of Costs and taken other approaches to reach settlement and ensure that the clients receive their costs back from opponents as soon as possible. Although I have lost tens of thousands in potential drafting fees, costs recoveries in excess of £1million so far within a short period for clients is far more satisfying. Why the post, I hear you say? Well, yes, it is a promotion about me and my business, but also that the recovery of legal costs can be dealt with in certain matters without the usual expense of detailed assessment.
