According to Dr. Shen, as more joint replacements are taking place in ambulatory settings, safety must be the priority. Today, institutions have specific criteria that work for them. What we are trying to do is organize and analyze data and find patterns that will help us predict who would benefit the most from a hospital stay and who be truly safe to go home.
