I'd never been here without all the previous decisions I've made. It all started with a dream of becoming a rock star. 🎙️ Recently, in Finsilva Oyj’s Luontopääoma podcast, CapMan’s CEO Pia Kåll summarised that maintaining and increasing natural capital requires investments, which in turn necessitate a market to generate returns. The second episode of the podcast trilogy focuses on what kind of market should be created for natural capital.   This topic is particularly relevant to CapMan, as the acquisition of Dasos Capital and establishment of CapMan Natural Capital as an investment area realised at the beginning of this year.   “At CapMan, the whole idea of sustainability starts from the fact that it is fully integrated into our financial operations. We view forests similarly: generating financial returns for investors and enhancing natural capital are complementary goals. Additionally, I see opportunities to develop new products beyond traditional investment areas where value chains could be ensured to be net zero or nature positive from start to finish”, Pia explains.
