Het valt me op dat veel CEO's, CRO's (Chief Restructuring Officers), COO's en CFO's die zich aanmelden bij onze interim management praktijk, vaak een zeer generiek cv meesturen als bijlage bij hun motivatiebrief. Kruger Interim Management B.V. richt zich voornamelijk op het begeleiden van bedrijven die zich in zwaar weer bevinden. Thema's als liquiditeitsproblemen, dreigende discontinuïteit, gebrek aan vertrouwen, stakeholder management en betrokkenheid van bijzonder beheer komen daarbij zeer regelmatig voor. Dit specialisme maakt het juist ook aantrekkelijk voor een specifieke groep stressbestendige interim managers om bij ons ingeschreven te staan. De interesse van de kandidaat in crisisopdrachten blijkt uit het begeleidend schrijven, maar is vaak niet of slechts zeer beperkt op te maken uit het meegezonden ‘standaard’ cv. Ik vind dit best opmerkelijk en daarom vraag ik ook regelmatig tijdens het kennismakingsgesprek aan de kandidaat om een aangepast crisis-cv te maken waarin duidelijk de ervaring met zwaar weer naar voren komt. Kortom, mijn algemene boodschap is verdiep je goed in je gesprekspartner en pas daar je cv op aan. Dit vergroot de kans op een uitnodiging en zorgt vaak ook voor een verdere verdieping van het gesprek zelf.
