Have you ever felt a tug at your heart to stand up for those who can’t? Psalm 82:4 speaks to this calling: “Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the voices that need amplification. Too often, we pass by those who are suffering in silence—be it a friend in emotional turmoil or a family member facing injustice. It’s crucial for us to recognize our responsibility to defend the vulnerable around us. Being a protector does not always require grand gestures; sometimes, it starts with simple acts of kindness or even just being present for someone who needs support. I’ve found that listening empathetically can make a significant difference, reminding others that they are valued and not alone. Reflecting on this verse, I encourage you to consider: In what ways can we actively help those who struggle in our communities? What steps can we take to make a difference? Let’s engage in this vital conversation—share your thoughts below! And remember, sharing this message can inspire others to step forward too. #LoveGod #Loveothers #fightfortheirfreedom

How many of us have remained silent out of fear, shame, and the belief that we wouldn't be understood or believed (insert me here with my hand raised). I can attest that speaking out can be a significant step towards recovery as well as helping others who have faced similar experiences. Often, silence might seem like a protective measure, but it perpetuates and prevents us from seeking help and advocating for ourselves. Speaking up and expressing ourselves is crucial for healing, empowerment, and change - rediscovering our voices and finding the courage to speak out and share our stories, we can prevent further harm! We can reclaim the power over our lives and the circumstances that we allowed to hold us back as we no longer let fear or societal pressures mute our voices. Let's find the strength that is found in vocalizing all we've held back and dared not say. #silence #silencenomore #rediscoveryourvoice #voice #fear #speak #speakup #speakout #saywhatyouneedtosay #wy20 #shame #disbelief #understood #recovery #helpothers #advocate #whatsyourtwenty #sharedexperiences #healing #expressyourself #prevention #crucial #necessary #strength #letstalk #reclaimyourpower #personalgrowth #reclaimyourvoice #reclaimyourlife #whatsyourtwentypodcast

Before we rush to judge, to raise ourselves on a pedestal, or to put on our Sunday best, let’s pause and ask: ✅ When was the last time you offered a word of encouragement to someone who was struggling, who needed it the most? ✅ When was the last time you shared a message of hope and kindness with that friend or colleague who you may have thought was on the wrong path? ✅ When was the last time you shared your food, your time, or your heart with someone who lacked, instead of judging the reasons they may have come up short? ✅ When was the last time you lifted your voice against the injustices you see happening every day? ✅ When was the last time you visited someone isolated, perhaps behind bars, and reminded them of their humanity? ✅ When was the last time you offered comfort, warmth, or even a small word of kindness to someone you knew needed it? It’s so easy to find fault or pass judgment, but true faith and compassion often lie in the quiet acts of empathy and support we offer each other every day. Let’s focus on lifting each other up, on being there for those who need it, and on living the values we believe in. #Compassion #EmpathyInAction #FaithInPractice #KindnessMatters #HumanityFirst #LiftEachOtherUp #LiveYourValues #PositiveImpact #MakeADifference #LinkedInCommunity

Well, wether you believe in Christ or not, wether you follow Christ or not, frankly, I don’t give a damn. As we move out of a political season that continues to divide and into a season who’s goal should always be: cast your own interests aside and focus on the interests of other, I stumbled upon this gem. It’s for everyone. There are nuggets in this for all. Friends dealing with friends who aren’t acting much like friends. Siblings dealing with siblings. Leaders dealing with employees. Employees dealing with Employers. Citizens dealing with citizens. It’s a good talk with a simple message for all: Peacmakers are needed. https://lnkd.in/gJy_TbyV

Today we grieve. We mourn that we thought our children were being raised in a very different country and in a very different era than it appears they are. But tomorrow, with the imminent rise of dark, vile, vulgar indecency, we must find the strength to double down on our own decency. We'll need to find the strength to double down on protecting the most vulnerable and caring for one another with such a deep level of kindness. The collective political discourse is is far too weak to offer healing or to rebuild hope and trust. Only a radical spiritual revolution toward empathy can save this society and we can start it now together. Wishing everyone deep resilience for this very scary, bumpy road ahead and the potential to find deep hope within small acts of love and large acts of radical kindness.

Your KISS wants to tell you something 💋 : "Be the person you wish you could count on." Life throws us curveballs, and there are moments when we crave support and understanding. Yet, in those vulnerable times, it can feel like we're navigating alone. But what if we could change that narrative? What if we could amplify kindness and support in our communities, starting with ourselves? Take the lead in being the rock for others, the beacon of support and empathy. By demonstrating unwavering reliability and compassion, you not only uplift others but also inspire a ripple effect of kindness. Let your actions speak volumes about the kind of world you envision—one where compassion and solidarity reign supreme. From a fellow worker in the fields: pastor Leon White. November 10th 2024 Friends, let’s be good to one another. Today, we wake up in a community that is both elated and deflated, celebrating and struggling, filled with joy and touched by fear. In times like these, our differences can feel more obvious—but so can our shared place bearers of the image of God. Those who feel these contrasting emotions aren’t distant strangers; they’re our neighbors, coworkers, family, and friends. They are the people we pass in our neighborhoods, sit beside in church, wait alongside in coffee shops, and cheer with at our kids’ games. I pray that today we choose compassion and connection over deepening division, setting aside harsh words for genuine understanding. If you know or sense that someone is struggling today, reach out. Remember: empathy unites, while ego divides. Let’s choose empathy.

The inability to receive is often part of our trauma story. ➡️We may learn to protect ourselves by becoming strong, self-sufficient and not ‘needing’ anyone. Independence becomes interwoven with freedom. ➡️The thing is, none of us are exempt from needing care. We need it in order to feel that all is well in the world. 👉Healing asks us to learn to receive. This is about vulnerability. ➡️it can be scary to be vulnerable if in the past our needs have been met with shame, blame and harm in the past. This is about reciprocity ➡️it can feel terrifying to receive if we have been conditioned to a ‘service first’ mentality, or if we are used to gifts always coming with hooks, conditions or blowback. 👉As we heal, we learn to lean into kindness and away from manipulation. 👉This is where connection and care become safe again. This piece is what allows us to rejoin humanity, after feeling separate for so long. ❓What do you think? #healing #service #manipulation #belonging #boundaries #relationships #reciprocity Receive.
