👏 Join ClearBlue team members Wilson Cabanzo Rojas and Juan Manuel Cardona Granda at the IETA Latin America Climate Summit (LACS 2024) and hear from our Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder, Nicolas Girod, speaking June 27 at 11:30, on the Technology Platforms and Digital Monitoring-Reporting-Verification (MRV) panel. Session description: Carbon markets face different daily challenges and situations, including the collection and certainty of project data, completeness and transparency of information, efficiency in operations and transactions, calculation of emission factors and baselines, and application of equations. This session will allow us to learn how technology solves these challenges for greater carbon market integrity, efficiency, and scalability from the perspective of digital MRV, new technologies, and registration and commercialization platforms. Register here: https://lnkd.in/eaC3gGCv 👏 Connect onsite with Nico to discuss recent behavioural analytics enhancements to our Vantage carbon intelligence platform, described here: https://lnkd.in/guSd3wRk

Recently, I led an insightful roundtable discussion on the evolving field of ‘Gas-to-X,’ which included diverse participants from E&P companies, established technology firms, start-ups, regulatory experts, and O&G tax professionals. We covered key questions such as: - What hurdles are preventing the large-scale development and deployment of ‘Gas-to-X’ technologies? - What will it take to successfully scale these solutions? The roundtable highlighted the complexity of scaling up ‘Gas-to-X’ technologies, considering the intricate dynamics between gas supply, gathering infrastructure, and processing capacity. Our discussion underscored the importance of cross-industry collaboration and innovation to make such technologies economically viable. Greentown Labs hosted this event, and it marked another significant milestone in SLB’s ongoing engagement with North America’s largest climate tech incubator. Thanks to everyone who participated!

"Parts of the future are already here, they are just not evenly distributed" is my key take away message from Department for Energy Security and Net Zero conference on #industrialdecarbonization and #emissionstrading yesterday. The role for organisations like WRAP is not just creating best practice, it is disseminating this and embedding best practice, whether that be through our voluntary agreements such as #Textiles2030, financial mechanisms, policy insights, technical support or engaging the public. I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation on Thursday with circEUlar and #net0prisma looking at how we can accelerate the growth of a more #circulareconomy. Sara Giorgi

Will you be at the Carbon Capture Technology Expo Europe in Hamburg? Alexander Kotschi, Alexander Laugwitz, Christian Riber, Christian Wolff, Moritz Köpcke and I will be there! Here is a glimpse of what I will be presenting: 💰 Carbon capture and storage projects are capital intensive infrastructure projects with various technical and commercial risks. 🤝 While each Carbon Capture project and site is different, most projects undergo similar project phases up to the Final Investment Decision (FID) and ultimately financial close. 📋 Following well-tested project delivery models and managing project risks will allow a project strategy that can successfully deliver a carbon capture project. ➡ I will present alternative ways of minimizing the risk during a carbon capture project execution. ❓ Would you like to check out our CCUS work at Ramboll? We're back at WindEurope's #WindTech24, and the question is: should we be afraid of #climatechange? 🤔 Unfortunately, the answer is: "Of course!" It is already impacting our ability to #model wind patterns based on historical #data and is making our work more difficult. But we have some very clever people working on that and already finding innovative ways to address the problem. 💡 The first step is to have good #climate models, and then see how they interact with our own wind models. Rémi Gandoin presented a methodology to select the most suitable climate models for assessing the impact of climate change on wind farm energy production, emphasizing the role of these models in identifying and quantifying risks and sensitivities rather than predicting future wind speeds or changes in annual energy production. And Paula Gonzalez presented a study showing that it’s possible to use General Circulation Models (GCMs) to create robust future projections of offshore wind resources, capturing large-scale process changes and trends, and highlights the importance of considering decadal variability, especially in regions where it explains more variance than long-term trends. They were joined by Andrea Hahmann and Ana Lopez for a discussion that raised many questions from the audience, indicating that this is clearly a growing area of interest for the industry. Thanks to Lars Landberg and Gil Lizcano for moderating it so well! https://lnkd.in/e8-tJsDr DNV Climate Scale C2Wind DTU Wind and Energy Systems
