Global health research (often in Ghana) around vaccine hesitancy, NTDs, scabies, refugees, climate and health, rural healthcare

Absolutely thrilled to be invited to chair a session at the UPEN International Policy Engagement Summit on Global Health. It’s a super-interesting agenda covering topics such as academic engagement with non-academic stakeholders, decolonisation, and UK funder global health priorities. Very much looking forward to the event. It is in-person at Aston University, Birmingham, but also can be attended virtually too. And the best bit, registration and attendance is free of charge, so kudos to the organisers and the ESRC for that! See text below, and also comments for link to the event webpage. Do share as appropriate. -------- When: 10:30 – 16:15, Friday, 29th November Where: Conference Aston, Aston University/online (hybrid event) Do you carry out research on any aspect of global health? You are invited to the UPEN International Policy Engagement Summit on Global Health which Aston University in Birmingham UK is hosting in partnership with the Universities Policy Engagement Network (UPEN). This event will help academic researchers who work on a wide range of relevant issues to better understand how their research can inform the work of leading global health organisations, and how it can contribute to improving health outcomes across the globe. Guest contributors include representatives from UNAIDS, UNICEF and the Medical Research Council, as well as academics working on different aspects of global health research. The event is funded by the ESRC and admission is free. #globalhealth #publichealth #researchfunding #decolonisation #decolonization #healthresearch #healthpolicy
