New Post: Goldfish beats hardest ‘Elden Ring’ boss - https://lnkd.in/gqQGWpdr - If you haven’t managed to beat the hardest boss in Elden Ring‘s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, it’s time to start feeling bad, because it’s just been beaten by a streamer’s pet goldfish. READ MORE: We played ‘Elden Ring’ DLC Shadow Of The Erdtree and punched a lot of dogs As spotted by GamesRadar+, streamer Eric ‘PointCrow’ Morino set up a camera and computer overlay for his goldfish, Tortellini, so that where it swam in the tank corresponded to a button input in Elden Ring. He created a build, buffed the Tarnished with spells and wondrous physik, and then let Tortellini go to town. It took over eight hours, but the fish finally managed to beat the last boss in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Promised Consort Radahn. The fish has previously beaten Malenia’s first phase. She used to be considered the hardest boss in the game, but Radahn has taken the top spot since the launch of the DLC. Kai Cenat spent dozens of hours trying to beat him during his marathon stream of the game, so this is actually quite impressive for Tortellini. The build Torellini used included dual-wielding Great Stars, giant maces that inflict blood loss on enemies, an effect that does a huge chunk of damage. The fish also managed to heal a lot so that it could stay alive during the fight. For those of you still struggling to beat the boss, a recent patch did come out that makes the game significantly easier, and you can even try out a build that should see you breezing through or ask for help from one of the community’s most legendary players. In other news, Elden Ring is the most-selling game of the summer, proving the DLC has worked well, even at its relatively high price point. New Post: ‘Total War’ developer reportedly working on new ‘Star Wars’ game - https://lnkd.in/gRJjZFZT - Total War developers Creative Assembly are reportedly working on a new Star Wars game. READ MORE: Thrones Of Decay is a return to form for ‘Total War: Warhammer 3’ According to a new report by Dualshockers, Total War: Star Wars has been in development since October 2023. Total War is a series of strategy games that typically combine turn-based strategy and resource management with real-time tactical control of battles, with this new game set to take that to a galaxy far, far away. The report also claims that Creative Assembly are working on two different projects as well, meaning it’s impossible for them to speculate on a release date. At the end of last year, Sega announced that Creative Assembly would be focusing on strategy titles, following the cancellation of Hyenas. Total War: Star Wars isn’t the only strategy game currently in development either. At the start of 2022, EA confirmed Respawn Entertainment were working on a trio of new Star Wars titles, including a strategy game being created alongside Bit Reactor. However, earlier this month Respawn confirmed it had cancelled its Mandalorian-inspired first-person shooter. “As we’ve looked at Respawn’s portfolio over the last few months, what’s clear is the games our players are most excited about are Jedi and Respawn’s rich library of owned brands,” EA Entertainment president Laura Miele wrote in a statement. “Knowing this, we have decided to pivot away from early development on a Star Wars FPS Action game to focus our efforts on new projects based on our owned brands while providing support for existing games.” Following that news though, Bit Reactor confirmed their Star Wars game was still in development. “Last week was difficult for the industry, and more so because of our strong relationships within the other teams at Respawn,” they wrote on social media. “But for those asking, we are still hard at work, and our game was unaffected by last week’s news.” They went on to say fans would see more of the game “as soon as it’s ready”. In other news, JME, P.Money, Chip and Unknown T have gone head-to-head on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s latest Grime map – check out the footage here. This post isn’t about politics - it’s about how campaigns are getting creative to connect with voters in a whole new way. We’re now in a time where political candidates are showing up in games like Fortnite. Kamala Harris’ team just launched Freedom Town on Fortnite, a virtual space where players can build homes, see campaign signs, and even shoot exploding footballs. It’s wild to think that instead of traditional ads, campaigns are stepping into gaming to reach younger audiences. And it’s not just Harris. Trump went live with Adin Ross to talk to hundreds of thousands of viewers, and politicians are popping up on Twitch and YouTube with popular streamers. This isn’t the old-school campaign trail - it’s a new kind of engagement that’s meeting people where they already are. It’ll be interesting to see which campaign we see in games next. Gaming platforms clearly have more influence than ever. #gaming #fortnite #campaigns #digitaltrends

This Men’s Day, don’t tell the men in your life that it’s okay to cry. And this isn’t a gender issue—it’s just that if men start crying, their male friends will have absolutely no idea what to do or say. So, for the sake of their clueless friends, let’s avoid asking men to cry. Instead, gift them a PlayStation, a katana, a solo staycation in the hills. Book them an all-expenses-paid trip to watch Jones vs. Pereira (when it happens), or the Premier League. Or better yet, just give them time with their friends. Because if there’s one thing that heals better than tears and comforting words, it’s heavy roasts and gaalis. Spread the word—so everyone knows what to do this Men’s Day and for all the ones to come. Issued in public interest. 🙏 p.s.- to all brands that are going to echo the same sentiment of being vulnerable, please just give me freebies. tyvm.

READ MORE: ‘Monster Hunter Wilds’ looks like a huge step up for Capcom’s iconic beast-bashing series Taking to /Gaming, user S0mewh4tD4m4ged asked players “What are your top three upcoming games?” before sharing their list – Death Stranding 2, Gears Of War: E-Day and Grand Theft Auto 6. The post quickly racked up hundreds of replies, with Monster Hunter Wilds a hugely popular choice. Described as “ the pinnacle of excellence in hunting action gameplay,” Wilds is due for release at some point in 2025. The sequel to Path Of Exile also features in a number of replies, after being delayed from 2021 while a lot of fans are also looking forward to Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl. Both games are due to release November 20. After being a surprise Early Access hit, a lot of Reddit fans are also looking forward to Hades 2 getting a full launch at some point next year while Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 is another popular choice. The city-builder was officially unveiled at Gamescom 2024 and will release February 11 2025. Despite not having a release date, a number of gamers are looking forward to Hollow Knight: Silksong while the recently announced Borderlands 4 is also top of a lot of wish lists. It might be approaching the end of its cycle, with the successor to the Switch rumoured to be releasing at some point in 2025, but Nintendo fans are looking forward to The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom (which drops later this month) and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. However the most anticipated game seems to be Grand Theft Auto 6. Officially unveiled late last year, the next instalment in the long-running GTA franchise is currently scheduled for a 2025 release. Despite rumours of a delay, one former developer says it’s too soon for Rockstar to know if it needs to push back the launch. “Grand Theft Auto 6 will sell for 10+ years and there is no competition to worry about,” he added. “They are not going to release the game until they’re 100 per cent happy with it.” In other news, we might be a few months away from release but Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 has already split fans with its new omnimovement feature.
