World Immunization Week (24-30 April 2024) #WorldImmunizationWeek celebrates 50 years of the World Health Organization's Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), recognizing the efforts to save lives from vaccine-preventable diseases. It calls on countries to invest more in #immunization to protect future generations. The growth and evolution of immunization efforts has been phenomenal. Tekton Research recognizes World Immunization Week. The 2024 theme, "Humanly Possible," commemorates 50 years of the World Health Organization’s Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), symbolizing our shared commitment to saving lives from vaccine-preventable diseases. Immunization is a global public health triumph, annually saving 3.5–5 million lives. Launched in 1974, the EPI ensures equitable access to life-saving vaccines for every child worldwide, regardless of their background. Over five decades, the EPI has broadened its scope to offer vaccines for over 20 life-threatening diseases, including COVID-19. Throughout WIW, we'll share insights from Tekton's principal investigators, underscoring the importance of vaccination. Together, let's help ensure everyone has access to, and benefits from, the life-saving power of vaccines. #MakingLifeBetter #TektonResearch #WorldImmunizationWeek #VaccinesWork #ProtectOurFuture
