Listen as Cameron Whitehead discusses how Pete & Gerry's Organics, LLC pioneered the family farm model of humane egg production - first to do it right, still doing it best - a model that’s better for hens, better for farmers, better for our planet, and better for us all!
Recently, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Arjun Ganesan, CEO of Ancera, for the #AmericasNestEgg podcast. I always appreciate the opportunity to shed light on the important work we’re doing here at Pete & Gerry's Organics, LLC’s – from our #familyfarm model to how we prioritize the highest standard of #animalwelfare and care for our hens. Arjun and I chat through all things supply chain, #AvianInfluenza and the important distinctions between common (and misleading) egg labels – check out the full episode here: https://bit.ly/3KRwHwp

The information gathered from producer surveys helps the BCRC demonstrate the value of research to government funders and helps support efforts to improve consumer confidence in Canadian beef. Past surveys have shown an increased adoption of pain control for castration. We have used this example to demonstrate to government funders that Canadian beef producers are clearly willing to modify long-standing traditions and adopt new practices that are supported by science. Seeing how readily Canadian cow-calf producers are adopting pain control for castration is a good message that supports consumer confidence.✅ 🎧Listen to our latest podcast episode to learn how your voice helps: https://lnkd.in/gNBSreGS
