Today, a new think tank is launched WELA - Wellbeing Economy Lab, with support from KR Foundation. WELA addresses the most important question of our time: How do we devise an economy that creates wellbeing for all while staying within planetary boundaries. With six out of nine planetary boundaries already breached and low levels of thriving in many parts of the world, this is an urgent task. #climatecrisis #wellbeingeconomy

Exciting news! 🍀 WELA - Wellbeing Economy Lab launched this week in Denmark, ready to shake up the economics scene. I couldn't be more excited to see where it leads! Much like Kate Raworth's Doughnut Economy, WELA focuses on meeting fundamental needs and ensuring rights within the limits of our planet. And here's the thing: This is not just an idealistic left wing mindset. According to the article, a whopping 75% of Danes support steering the economy towards enhancing quality of life and sustainability. 65% value quality of life over economic growth, while 54% advocate for environmental protection over GDP expansion. These figures show the broad appeal and nonpartisan nature of challenging the economic system. Initiatives like WELA are sorely needed in today's world, and I recommend giving the article a read.
