It’s Menopause Awareness Month and it’s the perfect time for all leaders of businesses/organisations to read the report handed down by the Menopause Senate Inquiry in particular section 13.3 ‘Stigma in the Workolace’.
It’s important we adapt to who we are as people rather than force everyone to fit into a pre-described mold of what “work” looks like.
Flexibility and a focus on health is key to a productive work-life for everyone.

Our new menopause policy aims to create an understanding of menopause and how affected staff can be supported at work. It provides information to staff and managers around the possible impact of menopause in the workplace and provides guidance on how to seek support and manage menopause-related issues.
All staff should familiarise themselves with the policy.

Well, I don't usually repost but here's an update on my last post coz right now, I feel proper proud.🤗
I have literally just walked through the door after a trip to Sheffield to facilitate a new workshop I designed. 'Preparing for Menopause: Embracing your 'second spring'.
WOW! Knackered now but buzzing. 😍
There was lots of chat, lots of laughter and even some tears as someone realised how normal their menopause journey was and how much they had put others first for years.
That person (and everyone else may I add😘) left with a smile on their face, determined to own their journey, feeling inspired and empowered and ready to face the GP again and even have discussions with family about what is going on for them. Telling them they need to pull their socks up and do more.
The positivity at the end was ooooozing out of the door. At the beginning, I honestly thought that some would struggle with that but no, they got it.
If I say yes to everyone else, who am I saying no too?💡

The evaluation form asked what was least useful about the workshop. The only thing written in that box was "It wasn't long enough". I'll take that.🫶
I am now shattered, so I'm off for a kip. Self care for me despite so much to do. I'll be smiling while I do.😴😃
In this to make a difference. Positiveness, knowledge and chatting to others are so powerful. 💪
