Mentorship plays a crucial role in guiding high school students through the college preparation process, which is where CME Group Foundation grantee iMentor Chicago comes in. This partnership goes beyond financial support, with many CME Group employees serving as volunteer mentors. Tina Lopez and Jada Aduda are two such volunteers – who also happen to be former CME Group Foundation Scholars. “Both Tina and Jada’s journey from CME Group Foundation scholar, to full time employee, to a volunteer mentor has been great to witness,” says Eva Giglio, Executive Director, CME Group Foundation. “I think it says a lot about the importance of investing in the next generation of leaders and the power of giving back.” 🔗 Link to full article: http://spr.ly/6040QwfdI

Wondering how to make a lasting impact with your next event? I recently had the opportunity to discuss this with Sammy Connell, ABPCO Co-Chair diving into the concept of event legacy and how to create experiences that leave a meaningful mark long after the event ends. Some take aways from our conversation : Purpose-Driven Planning – Understand your event’s “why” and align it with values that matter. Sustainability at the Core – Reduce the event’s footprint and consider what can be given back. Community Connection – Involve local communities for a lasting, positive impact. Storytelling for Legacy – keep the experience alive in people’s minds. Take a read of the full article link below, and feel free to share your thoughts. 🚀 As someone representing both NASUWT - The Teachers’ Union and ABPCO, creating events that leave a lasting legacy is something I deeply care about. It’s not just about the logistics, it’s about fostering a sense of place and purpose that resonates LONG after the event is over. 💥 I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be when events are designed with legacy in mind, shaping positive outcomes for years to come. This ABPCO article from Kerry Wright from Lime Venue Portfolio really captures that vision - how to elevate your events to be more meaningful and impactful. 🏛️✨ 🖐️ I must give the amazing Alistair Turner a virtual high five for introducing me to LVP and the incredible team - Jo Austin, Kerry Wright, Katherine Hume and Andrea Guimaraes. If legacy is as important to you or you want to find out more - this is a must-read! Check it out here: Creating Better Association Meetings: A Sense of Place and Purpose 💡 https://lnkd.in/eM95D4A9
