Did you know? Over 300,000 women in Jamaica cannot afford menstrual pads! Imagine facing this challenge every month without access to these essential items. Period poverty not only impacts health but also daily lives, causing lost productivity, missed days of school, social isolation, and a blow to their dignity. That is why Sandra Lindsay, DHSc, MS, MBA, RN, CCRN-K, NE-BC has made a commitment to address period poverty, having witnessed firsthand the struggles many women face in purchasing menstrual supplies. Without access to sanitary products, women resort to unsafe and unhygienic alternatives, leading to severe health issues. The financial burden forces many to choose between essential items like food and hygiene products. This is a harsh reality that no woman should have to endure. She is launching the "Dignity for All: Period Equity Campaign," a dedicated effort to provide much-needed menstrual supplies to women and girls in Jamaica. Join us in making a difference! Your donation can provide a lifeline to women and girls in need, ensuring they have access to safe and hygienic menstrual products. Let’s help them live with dignity and confidence. Donate Now and be a part of the change! Every contribution counts. Please share among your networks as well! https://lnkd.in/exA7pHbD

Funding Discrepancies in Gamete Donation Treatments 💰 Our recent survey shows that 79% of patients cite a lack of public funding or insufficient funding as a major barrier to safe and efficient gamete donation treatments. The harsh reality: • Few countries offer financial support • Unequal access to healthcare • Safety compromised at multiple levels • Patients forced to seek risky alternatives Adequate public funding of fertility treatments isn't just about money - it's about ensuring safety, equality, and dignity for those seeking to expand families, donors and donor-conceived people. We need change now! 🗣️ #EFW2024 #TheGameteStory #EuropeanFertilityWeek2024 #GameteDonation #MoneyMatters #HealthcareForAll #EqualAccess

Do you want to know who can donate eggs? The new ART LAW has created a new specific eligibility criteria for the individuals who wish to donate their eggs. A woman who wishes to donate her eggs must be between the ages of 23 and 35. She can donate only once in her lifetime and only seven eggs can be retrieved from her. The woman should be married at least she should be having the children of her own aging three year old, and she should be free from genetic disorders and she should be of good physical and mental health. And we will also run few tests. But just to know whether she is fit to donate the eggs or not A bank cannot supply a gametes of a single donor to not more than one commissioning party. That is only one couple or a single woman who is trying to create her family. Giving is more satisfying. This one decision of yours can help someone to become a mother. "In February, 2024, Twinkle Health Foundation led a team to Assin Nyankomasi-Nyamebekyere, revealing a stark picture of daily struggles. The absence of a health center puts lives at risk, as simple ailments become life-threatening due to distance and cost. Our team's observations were alarming: - High malnutrition rates among children - Prevalent teenage pregnancies due to lack of family planning - Limited awareness of sexual health, increasing STI risk - Rampant preventable diseases like malaria and hypertension But amidst the hardship, hope shines through. A health center could transform lives, providing: - Basic healthcare - Support for mothers - Education on preventive care - Empowerment for a healthier future We can't do it alone. Your donation is an investment in Assin Nyankomasi-Nyamebekyere's future. With your support, we'll build the health center, provide ongoing medical services, and empower the community. Together, let's build a healthier future where children thrive, families are healthy, and hope prevails. Donate today and be the reason a child receives the care they deserve.
