What an honour to be listed in the top 5 on the latest GlobeScan sustainability survey for our sustainability leadership alongside great brands IKEA, Patagonia, Unilever and Natura & Co. This year, 484 sustainability experts across multiple sectors and 65 countries participated in the GlobeScan survey. They were asked, “Which specific companies do you think are leaders in integrating sustainability into their business strategy?” We were the fifth most mentioned company! By 2025, Patagonia aims to make at least half of its synthetic materials using secondary waste streams, including ocean plastic waste, bottle collection programs, and textile waste.♻️🌎 This is just one example of the rise of the #BCorp, a for-profit company certification program that seeks to create a better kind of capitalism. While no role is formulaic, a few things we talked about: 🤫 Quiet the bias. It's natural to want to put your handprints on an organization or initiative and show your perspective when you arrive. Take space to listen and honor what has come before you. 🤝 It's all about the people. Whether it's the pirates or the champions, understanding your stakeholders' POV and building strong relationships helps set you up for long-term success. 💰 Connect to commercial outcomes. #Sustainability is an instrumental part of business strategy today, but sometimes people need help seeing that. Make the connections easy for them, show them how this links to their day-to-day.
