A big reason why Halloween has gained so much enthusiasm from both retailers and shoppers alike may simply come down to this: it’s fun. In the nearly 20 years the National Retail Federation has been tracking the season, Halloween spending is up over 250%. Furthermore, it was projected to hit a record $12.2 billion last year.
