Why Hue? well... it is a city rich in heritage and innovation, is leading the way in clean energy, mobility, and water management. Did you know? Hue’s tap water is rated better than Singapore’s by international labs, making it the first Vietnamese city where you can drink water straight from the tap! This December and to end this very rich 2024, let’s gather in the ancient capital for an intimate and high-level event exploring its inspiring journey toward Net Zero by 2030, why not??! With a focus on water treatment, urban cycling, and human-centered planning, Hue is setting a benchmark for sustainable city development. Event Highlights: A Roundtable Breakfast with special guests such as Daniël Stork, the Dutch Consul, discussing Hue’s adoption of the Cycle City Act—prioritizing sustainable mobility inspired by the Netherlands, our Vice-chairman jeanjacques Bouflet who will share on how Europe and Vietnam can strengthen collaboration. Then with Frank Pogade, we will discuss on the importance of water, along with Professor Cuong Cung Trong director of Hue Institute for Development Studies, and myself on Circular and Nature Base Economy with the importance of a human Centric approach. We will all engage dialogue on accelerating progress in water resource resilience, urban planning, and creating opportunities for collaboration to meet ambitious sustainability goals. Then we will have a Business Lunch at La Carambole, a cosy french mansion inside the Imperial Citadel. And we will finish by Sites visits with the companies who are treating water and waste and how does Hue achieve concretely annual sustainable targets. --- Don’t miss this unique chance to connect with decision-makers and explore how Hue is transforming into a model for sustainable cities! 💐 Special thanks to: Consulate of the Netherlands, DBAV 🇳🇱, Hue Institute for Development Studies, LinkPower, Ben Xuan Garden Theater, and Restaurant La Carambole. 🌍 How Does Your Industry Approach Sustainability and Green Practices? At Malaysian Link, we believe that sustainability isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a responsibility we all share. As we work to connect expats with local businesses, we’re committed to promoting practices that are both environmentally friendly and culturally rooted in Malaysia’s rich heritage. In our industry, we see sustainability as more than just reducing waste. It’s about integrating local, sustainable practices into everyday life. From encouraging the use of reusable tiffin carriers for takeaway meals to promoting the age-old tradition of eating with hands (reducing the need for utensils), we’re all about supporting green initiatives that resonate with the local community. But it doesn’t stop there. We’re also keen on working with partners who share our vision for a greener Malaysia. Whether it’s promoting eco-friendly accommodation options or highlighting local businesses that prioritise sustainable practices, we’re doing our part to ensure that expats experience the best of Malaysia while leaving a lighter footprint. #Sustainability #GreenPractices #MalaysianLink #ExpatLife #SustainableLiving #GoGreen
