Cows stand. They slowly move around the pasture. They graze on whatever is available to them - typically grass. But did you know that cows are meat eaters too? Their bodies have adapted to digest grass but they can consume meat. In fact, they happily eat meat and they often prefer it. They just don't get it very often. (Mostly because a huge percentage of the population thinks cows are herbivores - but that's a conversation for another day.) Cows graze all day everyday - so much so, that you don't see them running to capture something that might taste better.    Lions wait and watch. They preserve their energy. Then, when the perfect predator crosses their path - they go full force; capturing their feast and devouring it completely. They wait for what's worth it. They protect their space. They don't say yes to every small thing that comes their way. They lie in waiting and then they take the whole. damn. thing.   All of this to say, be like the lion.   How often are you selling or promoting services you hate delivering, how often are you working with clients that aren't a good fit, how often are you in the wrong rooms, with the wrong people, doing the wrong things?   How often are you grazing all day so that when something good comes there's no energy to run, chase, and devour?   I was thinking about this cow vs. lion mentality on my long drive home (13 hours to be exact) from Dallas, Texas to Knoxville, Tennessee this past Saturday.   I had just spent 3 days showing off all of the branding work we did for Jordan Gill's Make Your Mark Live event. You can see it here: https://lnkd.in/eRTJeU_4   And I realized how many conversations I've had over the last few days (and really all year long) with people who felt like 2024 hadn't gone their way. But friends, 2024 isn't over yet.   We're just days away from the final quarter. The final countdown.   That means one big push to end the year strong.
