Our Senior Technologist-OEM Liaison at Castrol, Alistair Mykura recently shared his thoughts on the balance between all-electric and hydraulic subsea systems in meeting the rising demand of energy. While all-electric systems show great promise, the reality is that traditional Electro Hydraulic Multiplexed (EH-MUX) systems will continue to play a critical role in subsea operations. With decades of proven reliability and a well-established supply chain, these systems offer operators a trusted solution to meet growing energy demands safely and efficiently. As we innovate, it's crucial to recognise the technologies that deliver consistent value. Read the full article in Oil Gas & Power: https://lnkd.in/eTSwgPCK #HydraulicSystems #Subsea #Energy

After several years planning and vetting, J-POWER USA selected the M501JAC gas turbine due to its efficiency, longevity, reliability, and adaptability needed for future demands. They knew the JAC units had cutting-edge capabilities, able to start quickly – reaching maximum capacity in as little as 30 minutes in a combined-cycle system. In addition, the flexible turbines can adjust their output to handle fluctuating electricity demand and can run on a mixture of 30% hydrogen without major modifications. That critical combination of flexibility and reliability made a compelling case for the units’ longevity in a fast-changing industry. “You don’t make an investment like this to turn off in 20 years. You’re making an investment for the long term, and part of that investment is having a partner who’s willing to walk down that road with you and help you out.” – Kevin Miller, VP of Asset Management, Operations, and Construction, J-POWER USA Learn more about why Jackson Generation is a plant fit for the future here: https://bit.ly/4d8fXNp #MitsubishiPower #CleanEnergy #EnergyTransition #Collaboration
