Can menstrual cups reduce BV and STIs? 💡 A study in Kenya is investigating how reusable menstrual cups—specifically disc-style cups that can be worn during sex—may prevent bacterial imbalances, reduce infection risks, and support safer sexual practices during menstruation. This research focuses on economically vulnerable people who engage in sex for their livelihood. What stands out to me is how these products could address both menstrual management and safer sex. I love menstrual discs! As we continue to learn from these findings, they have the potential to shape the future of menstrual and sexual health, globally. At nixit, we believe menstrual products should fit into your life, not disrupt it.
