📣 September 2024 has been an incredibly busy and productive month for us! Here’s a recap of our key events: 1. 5th September: We kicked off with the Awards 2024 Virtual Event—a fantastic opportunity to recognize outstanding contributions in our industry. 2. 11th-13th September: We participated in the OS+H Asia Exhibition at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, showcasing the latest innovations in workplace safety and health. 3. 19th September: Our WSHAsia EV Hazard Awareness Online Workshop provided essential insights into electric vehicle safety, emphasizing the importance of hazard awareness. 4. 26th September: We attended CERT CONNECT 2024 at HDB Hub Convention Centre, Singapore, connecting with key stakeholders in the safety community. 5. 27th September: We wrapped up the month with the SHE Seminar: Uplifting Safety & Sustainability at Kent Ridge Crescent, Singapore. Yesterday, RSE participated in the Scottish Water Supply Chain Conference, held at the Voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. This event brought together supply chain professionals and companies for a full day of insights, strategic updates, and invaluable networking opportunities. Our dedicated team was on-site at the RSE stall, showcasing essential practices for workplace safety. We demonstrated the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and highlighted the importance of safe isolation procedures – critical components of ensuring a safe working environment. At RSE, we understand that fostering a culture of health and safety is a shared responsibility. Events like these provide us with the opportunity to emphasise the significance of following robust safety protocols. By equipping members of the supply chain with the knowledge and tools they need, we collectively reduce the risk of workplace accidents and promote a safer industry for everyone.

Shout out to all the unseen health & Safety professionals and their embedded cultures who kept me safe on this week's round Europe tour. The ones that put the systems in place to ensure that people move around crowded transport hubs smoothly, through influencing design and build specifications. The ones that put in place training programmes to ensure their colleagues understand what is expected and are competent to deliver. The ones having tricky conversations with their Board to strive for excellence and not just reach good enough. The ones who've investigated accidents and deaths to learn lessons and share openly and widely making sure others are not harmed in the same way. You do an awesome job. You're often completely unacknowledged; slowly you are changing the outdated perception of health and safety, embedding the golden thread throughout your businesses and making a difference. Keep striving!

Recognising Our Best Year in Safety! As we reflect on 2024, we are proud to celebrate our best-ever performance in safety. This achievement reflects our commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for not only our employees on a day-to-day basis, but our customers and suppliers that visit our sites across Europe. If we need to talk about Kaizen for everything then we've lost focus. We should all be safety-minded, with or without Kaizen. And if you encourage open reporting, don't go back on your word when an unsafe practice is really reported. Yes, we want less trouble so we have the tendency and instinct to sweep everything under the carpet, hoping the problem doesn't come haunting us but it's precisely this mindset; this mentality that haunts us all. I've already shown everyone what Safety truly means. Let's talk Safety. And put it First.
