💫CAREER TIP TUESDAY💫 Unless you are a new grad with no formal experience, remove your GPA from your resume. If your GPA isn’t 4.0, you’re giving the hiring manager an excuse to hire someone else. It could be someone with 4.0 on their resume, or someone who didn’t include it and *might* have a 4.0. 💫CAREER TIP TUESDAY💫 Keep your experience to the last ten years on your resume. EBP, technology, and healthcare in general is very different now than 10 years ago. Most jobs that were more than 10 years ago aren’t relevant to the current job market. #RecruitingTip: Whether you use phone screening, a video interview, or an in-person interview, a candidate's first impression of your company is critical. It's important to make them feel like you're just as excited about getting to know them as they are about being considered for the role. https://lnkd.in/g-XFhwwE #SynergyStaffing #JobSearch #JobSeeker #JobHunt #JobsHiring #NowHiring #JobSearchTips #Nursing #Nurse #NursingJobs #NurseLife #RegisteredNurse

According to recent data, over 2/3 of US employees have career gaps. For nurses, these breaks are increasingly common and acceptable—whether from burnout (affecting 3 in 10 nurses), family care, or professional development. Pro Tips for Handling Resume Gaps: • Address gaps directly in your work experience section • Frame breaks as opportunities for skill development • Highlight relevant activities during your time off (volunteering, certifications, networking) • Consider a skills-based resume format to showcase capabilities over chronology Remember: A career gap isn't a red flag—it's an opportunity to demonstrate growth, resilience, and continuous learning. #NursingCareers #Healthcare #CareerAdvice #ResumeWriting #ProfessionalDevelopment

🗣️ are you talking too much in an interview? I am writing this article because I am a blabber mouth and hopefully it will help me. 🗣️ I just got the feedback that my candidate “talked a lot.” I know this guy, he is high energy, confident in himself, and likes to share. Not in an arrogant way. But I think when people get on the phone with a recruiter or in an interview with hiring manager, execs, and/or peers sometimes they feel they really need to sell themselves. And interviews can be 30 minutes long. ⏱️ You can feel pressured to “get it all in.” Use this to your advantage. Have case studies prepared with tangible results you can speak to. 📝 Explain them clearly and slowly and let that sit in. You can always ask, “would you like me to elaborate further?” after you are finished sharing. Or say, “was anything not clear that I shared that?” Less is more. 😉 Let your successes, poise, and body language speak for itself. If you are feeling pressured to get it all in that means you are probably not prepared. 🙂 #healthcarerecruitment #leadershiphiring #healthcarerecruiting #healthcareleadership #healthcarestaffing #recruitmentindustry #recruitmentjobs #registerednurse #nursing #nursingleadership #talentacquisition #recruitment #rn #nurses #hospital

🤔 how to answer, “are you interviewing at other companies?” I really like how Erin at Advice with Erin handles this question. (check out below or read my commentary on it) 👇 https://lnkd.in/dszUCNJk When a company/interviewer asks, "Are you interviewing/looking anywhere else?" 🤨 You want to make sure you don’t look like you aren’t taking your job search seriously or being considered by saying, "no" and you don’t want to turn them off and not feel they are important by saying "yes" in a certain way. We advise our clients to respond with, "While I am particularly interested in this role and truly believe this is a fantastic fit, I am exploring opportunities at similar companies. Yes, I am considering roles at other companies, but to be fully transparent with you this is my number one priority." 😊 This way you reiterate to them this role is one you really want, but you have other options. With the right tone you are conveying you are an in-demand professional with lots of options. People have an aversion to loss so this answer can land very well. As I always say, "your goal is to always put yourself in the best position possible to get a job offer. Do what you can to keep things moving forward and as quickly as possible." ☝ This answer fits into my philosophy very well and you can use this principle to apply to other situations. 😊 #healthcarerecruitment #leadershiphiring #healthcarerecruiting #healthcareleadership #healthcarestaffing #recruitmentindustry #recruitmentjobs #registerednurse #nursing #nursingleadership #talentacquisition #recruitment #rn #nurses #hospital
