🌱 "Concordia Living Lab of Loyola Campus: Decarbonization and operational optimization of a community energy system"
We are excited to share more details about one of the recipients of our 36 seed-funded projects.
These projects are geared towards promoting sustainability within built environments, enhancing resilient transportation systems, and fostering citizen engagement.
"Concordia Living Lab of Loyola Campus: Decarbonization and operational optimization of a community energy system" aims to establish a new research lab on Concordia’s Loyola Campus. It is designed to assist communities in reducing their carbon emissions and enhancing their resilience by focusing on the necessary infrastructure changes for transitioning to renewable energy.
Radu Zmeureanu, Professor at Concordia University, is the Principal Investigator (PI) of this research project. Collaborating with him as Co-PIs are Ursula Eicker, the Canada Excellence Research Chair, Mohamed Ouf, an Assistant Professor, Denis Schweizer, a Professor, Luo Ho, an Associate Professor, and Ahmad Hammami, an Associate Professor, all at Concordia University.
The project’s budget is $200,000 in cash and $210,000 of in-kind.
