Founder, CEO | Sustainability and Recycling Leader | Circular Economy and Waste Management Professional | Plastic Credit Certified

In 2024, I discovered that waste isn't a problem—it's an untapped economic revolution waiting to be unleashed. This year, Kaltani transformed from a local recycling initiative into a global sustainability catalyst. We didn't just collect plastic; we created economic pathways for communities, proving that environmental solutions can be powerful engines of opportunity. Our journey took us from local Lagos facilities to international stages like Waste Expo in Las Vegas, where we showcased how African innovation can solve global challenges. Strategic partnerships with organizations like the US Development Finance Corporation and roundtables on internal displacement demonstrated that waste management isn't just about cleaning environments—it's about building resilient economies. Three moments crystallized our mission this year: 1. "Transforming Waste into Wealth at Waste Expo" showed how Nigerian recycling innovations are gaining global recognition. https://lnkd.in/d6p5W4gF 2. Our discussions with the Abia State Government revealed how public-private partnerships can drive sustainable development. https://lnkd.in/dhD9R4Vz 3. Exploring carbon finance mechanisms demonstrated how financial innovation can accelerate climate action. https://lnkd.in/df-JXVCR By year's end, we weren't just managing waste—we were redefining its potential. Our work generated hundreds of green jobs, diverted millions of plastic waste from landfills, and started changing how the world sees Africa's circular economy. In 2025, we're scaling our vision: transforming waste management from a technical challenge into a platform for economic empowerment across Nigeria & Africa for sustainable livelihoods and communities. To every team member, partner, and community member who believed that waste could be more than just trash—thank you for turning possibility into progress. Happy New Year! #sustainability #circulareconomy #AfricaInnovation #LinkedInRewind #2024Wrapped
