🚨 Training Course Alert 🚨
**MAPPING TECHNOLOGIES AND MONITORING TECHNIQUES IN CORAL REEF ENVIRONMENTS - IV Edition – Open Enrollment**
14-22 April 2025 MaRHE Center, Marine Research and Higher Education Center - Magoodhoo Island, Faafu Atoll, Rep. of the #maldives
Coral reefs rank among the planet's most diverse and crucial marine ecosystems, yet they confront unparalleled challenges from climate change, overfishing, and pollution. Grasping their geomorphology and ecological dynamics is key to protecting these ecosystems.
Historically, coral reef mapping has depended on satellite images and field surveys, often missing the crucial 3D detail needed for effective habitat monitoring and conservation. However, innovative technologies such as Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (#uavs) and Underwater Photogrammetry are transforming the mapping, study, monitoring, and preservation of these environments.
Participate in the IV Edition of the Mapping Technologies and Monitoring Techniques in Coral Reef Environments to gain practical experience in advanced data acquisition and processing techniques. Discover how to produce high-resolution maps and develop monitoring strategies to safeguard these invaluable ecosystems.
