21 YEARS LEADERSHIP MEMORY IN FOCUS. ( THE YEAR 2003) As a Strategic Thinker and a Seasoned Technocrat, I have since discovered that having a great Vision and a worthy cause is not enough reason why people will follow you. Consequently, to get people to buy into your vision and follow you, you must be Intentional about becoming a better leader. Honesty speaking, in the past 29 years (1995- till date), I have been working hard to build my leadership credibility with a lot of people. It is on record that I forged a great relationship with great people by constantly sharing my ideas, hopes, aspirations and dreams with them. This singular action of mine, is making a lot of people to have great confidence in my Leadership ability. That is why, I totally agree with John C. Maxwell who posited that as a leader, your success is measured by your ability to actually take the people where they need to go. But you can do that only if the people first buy into you as a leader. That's the reality of the Law of Buy-In.

🌎 In this generation information abounds, there is no lack of information…..and each day im more and more convinced that what this generation needs isn’t more information. What it needs is men & women willing to be visual examples of walking in integrity. Men & women who daily determine to walk in purity & power. Visual examples of people willing to seek solutions instead of complain about the problems we all can easily see. I think John Maxwell calls it visual examples of high road leaders. ⬆️ That’s what we need more of….high road leaders.

John C. Maxwell. “A leader is great, not because of his or her power, but because of his or her ability to empower others.” 1. If you honestly and truthfully want to help a person, dont give then money, teach them how to make money. 2. If you really want to shine & enjoy your peace, teach your subordinates how to complete your reports. 3. Any leader has authority & power which can be abused. 4. A leader who uses his power to EMPOWER his subordinates is indeed in power & POWERFUL.

The timeless wisdom of 'The Art of War' still holds true today. Here are five key lessons that can be applied to both business and life: 1. Know Your Enemy and Yourself: Understand your strengths and weaknesses, as well as those of your opponent, to devise effective strategies. 2. Win Without Fighting: Achieve your objectives through strategic maneuvering and diplomacy, minimizing conflict whenever possible. 3. Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability are essential for effective leadership, allowing you to adjust tactics and strategies in response to changing circumstances. 4. Deception and Misdirection: Utilizing deception and misdirection can create advantageous situations and manipulate your adversary's actions. 5. Leadership: Paramount for achieving victory, leadership qualities such as wisdom, integrity, and decisiveness inspire confidence, foster unity, and guide teams towards shared goals.

Agreed and the key to leading is knowing your patterns. What reflection practice are you into as a leader? On that note thank you Cameron Schwab for sending this to me personally, your generosity as a coach, listener and mentor has been contagious for me in 2024. Please take a listen. I love the piece on the self blame as leader for not having all the answers and how to navigate through this. I also love the summary that you can’t have a leadership culture without well-being. https://lnkd.in/guFYiqkK

The fundamental Leadership Question: Our business life and personal life are connected seamlessly. In reality, there is no difference between the “professional” person you are and the “personal / at home with family and friends” person you are. There is great freedom in learning to "see" who you really are by breaking down the false barriers we create. These “barriers” are largely illusions we create to protect ourselves from the harsh truth of reality. It is an unwitting defense mechanism that allows us to rationalize, rather than confront, the areas we need to in order to become better. Ultimately, this forces one to confront the ultimate question that transcends any situation we may find ourselves in, and that question is; "WHO do I want to be and what price am I willing to pay to be THAT person?” This question can stop you in your tracks - it should. It is worth asking yourself often.
