Being diagnosed with adult ADHD or Autism is a life-changing experience. Although you may be tempted to feel like you were robbed of your potential by global systems & societal norms that weren’t designed for you, perhaps you’ll take my advice and think of it as a net positive: It’s *amazing* that you’ve managed to survive this long without critical information, tools, and daily guidance that could have illuminated your place in the world at an earlier age. Now that you’re here and *aware*, you can join communities of people just like you, to learn exactly who (and why) you are. There are also *amazing* therapists who specialize in helping people like us begin our next steps on our enlightened journeys. Make the choice to learn about yourself every day, put your new routines into practice, and consider yourself upgraded! ❤️

Reflecting on October. A Month for Celebrating Neurodiversity As October comes to a close, we reflect on the progress made during Autism Acceptance Month in Canada and ADHD Awareness Month worldwide. These observances provide valuable opportunities to deepen our understanding and foster greater inclusion for neurodivergent individuals. Autism Acceptance Month reminds us to embrace the strengths and perspectives of those on the autism spectrum. By moving beyond awareness to acceptance, we can create workplaces and communities that value diverse ways of thinking. ADHD Awareness Month highlights the creativity and innovation that individuals with ADHD bring to various fields. In supportive environments, these talents can truly flourish, making positive impacts in all areas of life. As we wrap up this month, let us carry forward our commitment to: • Educate ourselves on Autism and ADHD, challenging myths and building understanding. • Listen to lived experiences and advocate for inclusion in schools, workplaces, and communities. • Support neurodivergent individuals by fostering environments where they can excel. • Celebrate neurodiversity and recognize its immense value in our society. Together, let us continue promoting a world where everyone—regardless of how their brain works—has the opportunity to succeed. #Neurodiversity #AutismAcceptanceMonth #ADHDAwarenessMonth #DEI #swyvl

Growing awareness of ADHD with woman is absolutely crucial, for many girls and women, as well as their loved ones, it is life saving. ❤️ It helps letting go of shame and the feeling of not being good enough. These are experiences that undiagnosed girls and women have felt and carried within them perhaps all their lives. ❤️ It helps to adjust your entire life; goals, expectations, as well as daily ways of doing things without constant struggle, cognitive exhaustion and total anxiety. ❤️It helps not only the understanding one self, but also the people around them, protecting and savouring the relationships and connectiond, that we all desire for. ❤️It helps girls and women to re-write their stories sometimes shadowed by loneliness, grief and saddness with love, compassion, acceptance and connection. ❤️ It helps by giving the power to shape their journey from surviving to thriving, finding their true authentic selves as well as their full potential.
