And just like that... we're on to our final video in the "Orchard Explained" series. 🚨 VIDEO #4 🚨 In Video 3 we left off with launching the test on social platforms such as Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn (aka in the wild!). With the help of our Orchard platform, we can launch hundreds of test variants (claims, visuals, concepts, etc) in a matter of seconds. A key value of testing in the wild is the scale at which you can reach consumers. Our test only needs a few days to reach millions of consumers.... hard to fathom using a survey, right? After the test concludes, we're able to compare every piece of stimuli against each other using our predictive score, the Orchard Index. To add external context, we're also able to compare against category & subcategory benchmarks using over a decade of social norms. In the wild testing takes traditional research methods and flips them on their head. We're able to learn from consumers in a ✅ real context ✅ to measure real behavior ✅ to inform real decisions ✅ for real success As always, visit www.orchard-insights.com to learn more or email vince@orchard-insights.com to chat through our process in more detail. If you'd like to see the complete video end-to-end comment "IN THE WILD" below, and we'll make sure it gets your way! #consumerinsights #inthewildtesting #orchard #ideascreening #claimstestin #predictiveinsights #inthewild #marketresearch

You don't actually want to go viral. You want → What works → Why → Repeat. Stop psychoanalyzing algorithms... Stop reviewing every metric under the sun... #Misinformation #Disinformation #StayInformed Hey folks! 🌟 Just a friendly nudge to keep your eyes peeled and your minds sharp because we’re truly living in a golden era of propaganda. Since Covid, comedians have had a tough job. What one person finds funny often isn't to another. This rings true for advertising as well. Humor is common in ads, but its value isn't inherent—it's in how you use it. Most traditional metrics like "entertaining" or "fun to watch" don't predict an ad's market success. But at MSW Research, we've found four effective uses of humor that do. Curious to see these strategies in action? Stay tuned for our next two videos where we'll share real examples. 🌟 #MSWResearch #MarketResearch #BrandGrowth #ConsumerInsights #HumorInAdvertising

🤳 Trying to Tame the Wild World of Modern Media? Join the Club. 📸 In the jungle of today’s digital landscape, it’s easy to feel like a small fish in a very big, very crowded pond. Here are three of the biggest beasts you might be battling—and some tips on how to wrangle them: 1️⃣ Content Saturation and Competition Let’s face it: the internet is a giant buffet, and everyone’s stuffing their plates. The secret to standing out? Don’t just throw more dishes on the table—serve up something so deliciously valuable that your audience can’t resist. Quality trumps quantity every time. 🍰 2️⃣ Balancing Authenticity and Commercial Goals Your audience can smell a hard sell from a mile away, and it’s not a scent they love. The trick? Show them the real you (no, not the one in the sweatpants). Keep it genuine, sprinkle in some storytelling, and let them see the heart behind the hustle. ❤️ 3️⃣ Understanding and Leveraging Algorithms Ah, algorithms—the modern-day sorcery we’re all trying to decipher. They’re like that one friend who changes plans last minute. Stay flexible, experiment with different tactics, and keep an eye on those ever-changing rules of the game. 🧙♂️ The digital world may be a bit of a circus, but with the right strategies, you can be the ringmaster. How are you handling these challenges? Let me know in the comments below!! (common YT outro) #DigitalMarketing #ContentStrategy #BusinessGrowth #SocialMediaMarketing #KeepItReal #contentjungle

It’s about time. Last Friday we were back at the Truman Brewery for #Nudgestock, slightly bleary-eyed after three days of MAD//FEST and an entire night of election watching. Nudgestock is the world’s biggest festival of behavioural science and this year’s edition examined the influence of time on our lives. One comment above all made me laugh out loud, demonstrating our increasing lack of patience. Oliver Burkeman author of best-selling book 'Four Thousand Weeks' (the average amount of weeks you’ll live), shared an example that resonated with everyone who shares a workplace kitchen: “7 seconds. Whenever you go to use the microwave, it’s always stuck at 7 seconds and you have to cancel, reset and start again. Because that’s the exact moment that the last person using it just couldn’t cope with waiting any longer!” And there were even more laughs at this headline from a 2014 scientific report: “People would rather be electrically shocked than left alone with their thoughts. (The human mind may be wired to find inner reflection unbearable).” The day wasn’t all laughs though with one talk landing the biggest emotional punch. Jonathan Haidt (psychologist and author) looked at the effects of tech and especially social media on Gen Z and shared some shocking facts. There has been good coverage lately of the grassroots drive for change in terms of children and smartphones and books like Jonathan’s “The Anxious Generation” will hopefully contribute to a wider societal and perhaps legislative change. It was a superb day all-round and Ogilvy Consulting generously stream and record the entire conference so you can catch up all on all the talks at: https://lnkd.in/e9AKaY27 Thanks to Rory Sutherland, Tara Austin and Dan Bennett for hosting and curating such an engaging and useful event, and for inspiring us to think and question more. I’m still not over Rory’s description of coarse fishing as “staring…with equipment” 🤣 #nudgestock #behaviouralscience #nudgestock2024 #behaviouraleconomics #brandstrategy
