Some friends and I got together for some holiday cheer and to share
The Presales Night Before Christmas!
I hope all your deals are neatly wrapped under the Salesforce tree (Refresh that Dashboard!) and you can watch this with a hot cup (or hot toddy..no judgement here). 🎁 🎄 🎅 🤶
A huge shoutout for the AMAZING Ron Whitson 🎾, who finds a way to convince me to perform whatever he has up his sleeve (no 🎶 this year..you are welcome and let's be honest, I never ask for a discovery when he gives me his latest "idea"...)
To my friends and co-creators who also graciously say YES, you are all the BEST. Thank you Sara Jones, Tony Francetic, Chris White, Mike McDowell, Jack Cochran and Liz Anderson.
Sit back and enjoy the show and hope you have the very best holiday season.

Come gather round, it's that time of the year, a story of presales to bring us some cheer. I've brought along friends to help tell the tale of triumphs and troubles and how we prevail. Twice a week before Christmas and looming on high a critical demo, a big deal was nigh. The pre sales team gathered their goal, clear insight to deliver perfection on this fateful night. The deal of the quarter was there to secure. If all went as planned, their success would be sure. Gloria waited their names in the sky, but could they deliver? Well, surely they try. The request came in late with no time to spare. We need this tomorrow. Now show us you care. With coffee refilled and a deep, weary sigh, the team got to work. Though they questioned the why. Slides were adjusted, the storyline type mock data created well into the night. No time for complaints, no chance to delay. The demo must shine at the break of day. The scripts had been tested, the flows running clean. The data was perfect, a flawless machine. But then, with a blink, the whole thing went down and panic set in with a frustrated frown. Reboot it, restore it, Just fix it somehow. The team rallied quickly. No time to allow with patches and prayers they steadied the show for. Cancelling the demo was a firm solid no. An e-mail came through, causing panic and fear. The CEO's joining Make it sharp, Make it clear the team sprang to action, no detail too small, adjusting the narrative to dazzle them. All the timelines were crushed, but they gave it their best, reworking the story to meet the new test. Though pressure was mounting, they stayed in control, for winning this deal was their ultimate goal. Went out in the cloud, there rose such a clatter they raced to their screens to see what was the matter. The widgets had vanished. The login had failed. The demo seemed doomed. All confidence derailed, but one savvy ESC with a glint in their eye declared not to worry, I've got a quick try. With keystrokes and magic, the fix was applied and cheers filled the room as the chaos subsided. The moment arrived. The team held its breath. The stakes were now high, the room silent as death. The clicker was steady, each slide in its place. Their story unfolded with style and with grace. The VP leaned in, a smile on their face. This demo, they said, is truly first place. The team exchanged glances, their effort now clear. A flawless performance drew smiles and a cheer. But just as they thought the meeting was through, the client spoke up. There's one more thing to review. Can it handle this case? We just need to know, or else we'll be forced to let the steel go. The team scoured the system, their hopes wearing thin, searching for the answers to make sure that they'd win. And then, with a grin, the essay declared. It's here, It's included. And relief filled the air. With smiles all round and the deal now secure, the team felt proud. Both humble and pure, their efforts shine through, their skills were displayed and trust in their work was fully conveyed. They logged off the call with a satisfied grin, already envisioning where to begin. Their updates were sent, the victory clear. Another success. To closeout the year. So here's to presales, the Wizards of tech who ended last minute changes without breaking a sweat. From crafting great stories to presenting with flair, your talents shine brightly beyond all compare. As this year winds down, we raise up a cheer for LinkedIn connections we've made far and near. Merry Christmas to all, may your demos and press, and May 2025 bring continued success.

I was refreshing the heck out of Salesforce this morning Pam Dunn! What's left on the board? Path to quota? Annual attainment? Who scored the largest deal of the year so far??? "So little to do and so much time..... (pause) Scratch that. Reverse it."

Dreamforce in person isn't in the cards for me this year, but that means I have a chance of watching a lot of the Salesforce+ sessions.
After we attend or tune into Dreamforce, the next most important step is answering how will we apply what we learned to our organizations to elevate our unique customer experiences?
With so many thrilling announcements, demos, and strategies presented, it can seem overwhelming to try and think through it all and determine our top takeaways for action.
But you don't have to do it alone!
Join me along with Jacob Catalano, Sarah Gantz, and Cara Clanton Pope, for this Dreamforce Debrief with the Experts session to hear our top takeaways from the conference and how we're approaching the next steps. We'll simplify all the complexity and give you the insights to help compile your learnings into actionable next steps.

I discovered 💡a great trade show giveaway that attracted lots of traffic 🚙🚙🚙.
Twilio Segment was laser engraving attendees’ names on fancy water bottles at the Snowflake Summit.
Check the video 🎥 to see the ⚡️laser in action.
Whenever you can give away a desirable item that causes people 👬👭👬👭to queue up in line, you create the perfect opportunity for Booth staff to qualify leads.

I presented my Bike Ride Stats Salesforce org yesterday at The DemoOrg DemoJam. This was a great opportunity to show some of my Salesforce skills. Thanks Jodi Hrbek for starting your DemoJam
In my Bike Ride Sats org I demo'd how I keep track of my bike ride stats using a Salesforce screen Flow feature of a Repeater. Basically, creating a screen flow that can be repeated without starting all over at the start of the screen flow. A Screen Flow with a repeater would be very helpful for a sales rep entering 3-4 new contacts. Or think of someone needing to enter 2-3 new Leads or new Accounts. Instead of having to use data loader, or clicking around in Salesforce Accounts or Leads in fields you aren't concerned with or some other program to enter a few new records it can be done quickly using a screen flow with a repeater.
I had some great demo jammers who blew me away, congrats to Kenneth A., Katie McAfee ☁️💙☁️, Shawn Smothers, Tanya Krawford, Ademola (Dee) Adeyemi and Timilehin Samson. You all rocked!
And THANKS to my AWESOME coach, Randy Kish, for the awesome coaching!
