Perks that are not commonly available in the private sector, but are key issues that may be on the mind of a DAV while trying to enter the work force and address those restrictions. To be honest, typically a DAV will not make these restrictions known to a potential employer leading to one of two outcomes. Either the DAV will ignore the issues potentially making it worse, or burn up sick days making the appointments and run the risk of being terminated from employment. I am no expert on this topic, but fall in this category as a DAV and can appreciate this perk.
