World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. This year’s World Environment Day campaign focuses on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.” Environmental decline can include desertification and deforestation along with climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. These changes can lead to eco-despair and climate anxiety, which can cause people to feel grief, fear, and helplessness.
