The PHL Holiday Party at Parq Vancouver was nothing short of spectacular! We celebrated the season in style with an incredible buffet, a free-flowing bar, and a dance floor that kept everyone on their feet well into the night. 💃🕺 It was wonderful to see the PHL family come together, bringing their loved ones along to share in the festivities. From heartfelt conversations to memorable moments on the dance floor, this evening was a beautiful reflection of the connections we’ve built over the years. A huge thank-you to everyone who made this event possible and to all who attended—it’s the people who make PHL such a special place to work. Here's to closing the year on a high note and looking ahead to an even more exciting 2025! #PHLHolidayParty #TeamPHL #Celebration #Gratitude #StrongerTogether

📣 Dublin Hospitality Sector Unites: Time for Change! As costs soar and businesses across Dublin struggle to keep their doors open, we at Yamamori are joining the call for action. Rising operational expenses are hitting the hospitality sector, a cornerstone of Dublin's vibrant culture. On October 15th, we’re standing with our fellow businesses to protest against unsustainable costs that are putting the future of our industry at risk. 🔴 What’s Happening? Skyrocketing costs—rent, energy, supplies—are making it increasingly difficult for restaurants, bars, and cafes to stay afloat. These pressures not only threaten jobs but also impact the amazing experiences we love bringing to our community. 💡 Why It Matters For local businesses like us, the current cost environment isn’t just a challenge—it’s unsustainable. Every menu you enjoy, every event you attend, and every meal we prepare depends on the balance between quality and affordability. Without relief, we may lose the heart of what makes Dublin’s hospitality scene so special. 🙌 Support Your Local! We’re asking our community to stand with us. This isn’t just about businesses—it’s about protecting the livelihoods of thousands of workers and ensuring that Dublin’s hospitality scene thrives. If you care about your favourite local spots, join us in raising your voice. Let’s work together for a sustainable future. 🔗 More Info https://lnkd.in/eHu2zenG #SupportHospitality #DublinProtest #TimeForChange #YamamoriCares

Alternating Currents is the kind of event that makes me proud to be a Quad Citizen. It's the type of festival that raises the bar in creativity and provides an authentic community experience. I've been fortunate to work on a lot of really cool projects in my career. AC is by far my favorite. It speaks to my soul because as a young girl, living in a small town, it would have meant the absolute world to me to have this type of access to arts activations in my community. The growth of this event is limitless but it's going to need more engagement from the business community. If your company is interested in quality of place initiatives for the Quad Cities, #ACQC is a great way to show support. It's the only bi-state, multi-city festival of its kind. YOUR SUPPORT HELPS: + Invest in an all-ages vibrant arts culture, inspiring young people to see the Quad Cities as an amenity-rich place where all can thrive. + Activate the heart of our cities; a critical component to the Quad Cities’ ability to attract and retain families, young professionals and workforce. + Support local small businesses by investing in activations that not only directly impact sales over the festival weekend, but provide greater visibility for new customer discovery. + Draw visitors from across the Midwest and beyond to spend money here and become advocates for the Quad Cities. + Foster growth and champion the next gen of local talent. A myriad of opportunities are available, showcasing how local businesses can align themselves with this dynamic festival to not only gain exposure but also contribute to the community's cultural enrichment. Shoot me a message if you'd like to learn more about how to get involved!

If you are near Cincinnati, you may have seen the name "America's River Roots" pop up recently. It's the region's newest and grandest festival, and it's coming up quick. 🎸 🦞 🍺 ⛴️ Something this big doesn't come out of nowhere. In less than a year, the banks of the Ohio River will transform into the ultimate four-day celebration—a music, food, and culture festival unlike anything this region has ever seen. America’s River Roots Festival will bring the sights, sounds, flavors, and riverboats of our river cities to life, right in the heart of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, as part of America’s 250th birthday festivities. 🎂 Launching a festival from the ground up is like assembling IKEA furniture without instructions or an Allen wrench. America's River Roots needed a captivating, fully functioning website that would not only build awareness and sell tickets, but set the tone for what this festival would feel like: immersive and inspiring. And they needed it fast. The newly assembled America's River Roots team got word that USDP was the right digital partner to bring aboard for this journey, and our team didn't waste any time getting to work on the plan, designs, and code needed. When time is short and stakes are high, you don’t overthink—you prioritize. Thanks to consistent collaboration and prioritization, the website launched in just two months. 👊 Here's how the team pulled it off: - Rapid UX and design: We created templates that balanced beauty with functionality, building on the evolving event brand. - Sanity / Svelte build: A state-of-the-art "headless" website development framework was used to deliver the best experience. - Ticketing integration: We integrated and customized an advanced ticketing platform to make booking boat cruises a breeze. When the site launched on November 15, the festival hit the ground running: 🎯 - Site traffic has been fantastic and continues to build excitement - Hundreds of thousands of dollars in riverboat cruise tickets have been sold in the first few weeks. Get'm while you can! - Visitors are signing up for email announcements "We are building momentum in awareness, engagement, and revenue through our website with the implementation of a new design system and the ability to sell riverboat cruise tickets. The team's leadership, work ethic, and passion for the project were a huge asset as we reached our development goals in a very short period of time." 💥 – Chris Horn, Marketing Director Great work Chris and the team. We are grateful for the partnership. See their work in action and order your tickets today! https://lnkd.in/gN7eXR53

🎭 Notting Hill Carnival: Safety in Focus 🎭 The safety of major events is always a topic of significant interest to crowd professionals and recent discussions about Notting Hill Carnival highlight the complexity of delivering Europe's biggest street party. Thank you to Working With Crowds for bringing this important story to the forefront. A Police Federation report described the event as a ‘war zone,’ sparking debate over how best to manage its unique risks. With hundreds of thousands of attendees, Carnival brings together vibrant culture, music, and community—but also high risks, including large crowds, alcohol, drugs, and gang activity. Eric Stuart QPM, former UKCMA Chair, shared his perspective: “This event is high risk… it needs very careful planning and detailed delivery. This only happens when partners can trust each other and work closely together.” Eric also expressed confidence in the Metropolitan Police Service’s MO6 team, who work directly with Carnival organisers and local authorities to plan the event. As professionals in crowd management, these conversations remind us of the critical importance of partnership, planning, and trust in delivering safe, inclusive events. Let’s keep the dialogue going. What does the process of reimaging your F&B operation look like? At Carousel Hospitality, we don't hear that term and simply pull out a can of paint and slap a new logo up, shuffle a half dozen menu items and call it a day. Careful, thoughtful impactful analysis is conducted. We have meaningful discussions with our partners on what the scope and scale of the project looks like, including of course cost, but most importantly, what is the desired outcome and ultimately, is that outcome moving the needle on guest satisfaction and taking the guest experience to the next level! When you're ready to evolve your guest experiences, let's discuss what reimaging your F&B operation and enhancing your total guest experience looks like. https://lnkd.in/eWWvVV2P Enhancing the total guest experience, one person at a time. #letsgo #partnership #business #guestexperience #vision

The earth-shattering, culturally unifying spectacle known as Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” came to an end Dec. 8 at Vancouver, British Columbia’s B.C. Place stadium. It was the 149th performance of a tour that spanned 51 cities, 19 countries and five continents. Its sheer breadth and length — it ran nearly 21 months after its March 2023 start in Glendale, Arizona — would be reason enough for it to enter the annals of all-time cultural undertakings. Then there’s the box-office returns, which were both expected and gobsmacking. Pollstar estimated the tour’s gross at $2.2 billion on 10.055 million tickets. The per-show average of 67,487 broke the 13-year-old record set by U2 on the in-the-round “360 Tour.” Those estimates are based on extensive research including ticket price in each market, venue capacities, premium seating and comparable tour data. Although, in fairness to our crack research team, there is no comparable tour. Not really. “Eras” was, by some margin, the highest grossing tour of all time.
