I am currently a visiting research scholar at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), University of Kyoto. It is an amazing place to do some productive thinking about humanitarianism and religion in Asia. The Center has just published an interview with me on their website. In the interview I responded to the following questions: * What are your favorite things? * Please tell us about your research * How do you overcome the difficulties in putting together the results of your research into a research paper or book? * Do you have any essential reads (books) that you recommend to younger people? * What is your ideal image of a researcher, and do you have any advice for those who aim to become researchers? * Why did you choose CSEAS, or what is your expectation here? https://lnkd.in/gdAkQSBX

https://lnkd.in/gHSynVFu This is a proud moment for the entire South Asia , not just Bharat. Just a few reservations : if you want to revive the true spirit of a global learning destination like Nalanda , make it completely autonomous. If it falls under the same metric of Scopus, hocus and pocus, admissions through CUET, recruitment boards getting references from local politicians and NIRF rankings, it will destroy Nalanda again.
