From Design Democracy to India Design, Grounded became a crowd favourite—capturing hearts and sparking conversations. Created using Baaya’s signature Crafts—Copper Enamel, Metal Artistry, and Wood Carving—Grounded brings the essence of the forest into our crafted spaces. The textures and forms echo the vibrant imprints of nature, it is a symphony of craftsmanship that brings to life the harmonious existence within the forest—every line, every curve inspired by the resilience and beauty of the earth. At the heart of Grounded is the DNA helix structure, symbolizing the very blueprint of life—a profound reminder of how we are inextricably linked to the natural world. It speaks of interconnection, resilience, and the eternal cycles that sustain all living beings. At Baaya Design, our design ecosystem is built on the principles of connection, sustainability, and co-creation with our artisans—a journey that goes beyond crafting objects to creating stories, experiences, and relationships that are as deep and enduring as the forest. The possibilities with Grounded are endless. We believe in creating more than just art—we craft experiences that resonate deeply. The Hall of Nations, by Raj Rewal was once Mammoth of a building in the Pragati Maidan complex in New Delhi, India. It was built by over a thousand hard-working people, both women and men. The structure was sculpted in a way that felt almost natural and right, and the design looked amazing no matter when you saw it. What makes it Exemplary? • Reinforced concrete space frames: Enabling expansive, column-free interiors, ideal for versatile exhibitions and events. • Inspired by traditional Indian jaalis: The design features intricate patterns for aesthetic appeal and cooling functionality. • Dual-purpose functionality: Structure depth acts as a sun breaker, echoing the beauty of jaalis while serving a practical purpose. Here’s what we in the residential real estate industry space can learn from it, • Embracing innovation leads to functional and beautiful spaces, and in today's market, innovation is key! • Integration of cultural and historical elements (the jaali for example) can foster a strong sense of place and community among residents. The structure stands as a reminder of collective human effort, fostering innovation, and the multifaceted nature of architectural heritage. Do you think modern developers can also draw insights & inspiration from cultural principles? #HallOfNations #RajRewal #PragatiMaidan #Architecture #Innovation #CulturalHeritage #Inspiration #CollectiveEffort

Luxury is often understood as something that is solely driven by extravagance. But it is much more than that - luxury is deeply personal, reflective, and intentional. For me, the journey begins with understanding materials and craftsmanship at their core and blending that with high-standard precision to create designs where every detail matters. I explored this idea and more at FOAID India, New Delhi as part of a panel discussion on ‘The Business of Luxury Design,’ moderated by Supraja Rao, alongside Aparna Kaushik and Raseel Gujral Ansal. Luxury is about listening—decrypting a client's aspirations to craft personalised spaces that stand the test of time. This is what we do every day at Habitat Architects. #FOAID2024 #FOAID #DesignDialogue #HabitatInsights #LuxuryDesign

Balancing Functionality and Beauty in Urban Design: A Blueprint for Success In urban design, striking the perfect balance between functionality and beauty is an art form. It's about creating spaces that are not only efficient but also visually captivating. 💡 Form Meets Function 💡 Think of iconic spaces like Marine Drive in Mumbai. The seamless integration of functional walkways and stunning coastal views is a masterclass in urban design. 🌳 Green Spaces That Thrive 🌳 Urban parks, such as Cubbon Park in Bangalore, serve as lungs for the city while offering a serene escape from the urban hustle. These green spaces highlight how beauty can coexist with practical utility. 🚏 Street Furniture That Speaks 🚏 At Suncity Innovations, we've designed street furniture that doubles as artistic installations. Our recent project at Ajinkya Tara Fort, Satara, is a prime example of how aesthetic lighting poles can enhance the historical ambiance while providing practical illumination. 🏙️ Buildings with a Purpose 🏙️ Structures like the Lotus Temple in Delhi demonstrate that architectural beauty can be functional, inviting spaces that foster community and contemplation. 🌿 Sustainable Beauty 🌿 Balancing sustainability with design, our solar street lights at Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj, blend green energy solutions with sleek aesthetics, proving that eco-friendly can be elegant. Achieving this balance requires visionary thinking and innovative design strategies. At Suncity Innovations, we are committed to transforming urban landscapes into beautiful, functional spaces. Ready to reimagine your city's design? Let's create something extraordinary together. #urbandesign #citybeautification #sustainableliving #architecturalexcellence #suncityinnovations #suncity
