We’ve taken another step forward in enabling positive and sustainable #coexistence with resources, renewable energy and the agriculture sector with the introduction of the 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘉𝘪𝘭𝘭 2024 (𝘔𝘌𝘙𝘖𝘓𝘈).   If passed, the bill will strengthen coexistence frameworks, address coal seam gas-induced subsidence impacts and expand the roles of our state’s coexistence institutions. MEROLA is now under consideration by the Clean Economy Jobs, Resources and Transport Committee.   These reforms follow extensive consultation and aim to build stronger relationships between resources, agriculture and other land users.   Amber Wenck, A/Director, Georesources Policy, speaks to the importance of what the bill moves to implement and why collaboration and relationship building is at the heart of our success.   "This Bill, if passed, will implement important outcomes for coexistence in Queensland, including providing a way forward in identifying and managing CSG-induced subsidence.
