When you are a school principal, the days are long, and the stress can get the best of you. There are moments when you contemplate how much longer you can do this. Then you think about the students, teachers, and the community and realize that this is a calling, and you pull it together. #principalovewhelm #schoolleadership #schoolimprovement

⚠️ Warning: this might be a sensitive topic… How do we show up for schools when their safe spaces are broken? 😢 When tragedy strikes a school community, it shakes what is often considered a safe, sacred space. Today, our hearts are with the leaders, parents, scholars, and staff at Abundant Life Christian School in Wisconsin who are navigating unspeakable devastation. Tomorrow comes quickly for these leaders—who must guide scholars and families while holding their own grief. For parents—who must reassure their children while facing their own fears. And for scholars—who must find their footing in a place that feels different now. Leadership in these moments is heavy. It requires: — Emotional intelligence to hold space for fear, grief, and anger. — Clear, compassionate communication to restore trust and calm. — Processes to provide structure and direction when everything feels uncertain. To the leaders: Lean into your systems and your strength. To the parents: Hold your children close. To the scholars: You are seen, loved, and supported. As a collective, we must lift up this school community—not just today, but in the days and weeks to come. Healing is not linear, and leadership during devastation is not a solitary act. How do we show up for schools when their safe spaces are broken? Let’s not just offer thoughts and prayers—let’s consider what tangible support looks like.❤️ #SchoolLeadership #CommunitySupport #MindfulLeadership #ResilientCommunities

What can you do when your teen won't talk? Read more on how parents can bridge the gap with children as Dr. Titus Koong Hean Foo shares valuable insights on setting boundaries while allowing healthy room for negotiations. “Instead of being the strict traffic cop, become their friendly, trusted navigator and offer guidance when needed. That way, you’re letting them drive, while still being in the passenger seat next to them to offer support and steer them in the right direction.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g6Y7y-9P #ParentingTips #Parenting #TSPP

WHAT DO I DO NEXT? I hear this in various forms from Lead pastors all over the world. Oh, it won't be the first thing that's said or even the second, but as the conversation unfolds there are the not-too-infrequent admissions: 👉 I know something needs to change but I'm not sure specifically what. 👉 We've been plateaued for the last couple of years & I'm not quite sure how to get things moving. 👉 I'm putting on my brave, "got this" game face, but I've done everything I know to do. 👉 I've been inspired at several conferences each year but I need to know steps. 👉 If things don't shift, then I'm going to have to ask some pretty big questions. Though, I realise there's no "silver bullet", there are reproducible comprehensive steps to take to get your church back into momentum. It is not as elusive as you might think. Maybe it's time for a chat >> https://lnkd.in/d64bBVZP #leadpastors #seniorpastors #pastorlife #churchleadership #churchgrowth #ministry #ministrylife #ministrymindset #churchplanting #churchplanters #pastorsnetwork #pastorsandleaders #churchcommunity #churchfamily #churchmentor #ministrymentor #ministrytraining #michaelmurphy #leaderscape #Xlr8
