Josh Alexis, Project Forest’s Indigenous and Rewilding Specialist, was invited to speak at Dr. Charles Nock's Forestry Ecosystems class at the University of Alberta last week for their final lecture of the semester! Josh's presentation on "Connections & Earth Teachings" offered students valuable insights into First Nations perspectives and their relationship to the land. A highlight was Josh sharing a traditional song on his drum, bringing these important teachings to life in a powerful and moving way. Special thanks to Dr. Nock for inviting Project Forest to participate in this learning opportunity. We're grateful to contribute to the education of our future forestry professionals both in the field and in the classroom. To all the students preparing for exams - wishing you the very best with your exams and continued studies! 🍀 #ForestryEducation #IndigenousKnowledge #ProjectForest
