Ever wondered why founders tell me the HTX Founders event is their fave event to attend? Its simple - it comes down to just 4 things: 1. Curated Guest List 💌 I only invite Founders, CEOs of tech companies. 2. Unique Venue 🏢 We host our events at a stunning rooftop speakeasy in Downtown Houston. You even need a password to get in! 3. Personalized Approach✨ Sometimes we're too focused on automation when a personalized approach makes the difference. See someone hasn't RSVP'd? Send them a personal message 4. Icebreakers ❄ Icebreakers help facilitate meaningful connections and conversations. ---- Who's a tech founder in the Houston area that we should know? 👀 Tag them in a comment so we can get them a drink at the next party! Reply or DM and we will invite a few more folks to come hang this Wednesday, March 6 from 6-8PM Please share to your Houston friends, it will be fun 🎉

We recently hosted a catch-up event where creatives, artists, and collaborators gathered to share their experiences, insights, and ideas. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of human connection in a creative environment. Networking is Key: In an industry that thrives on collaboration, forming relationships and building trust is essential. Inspiration Comes from Conversations: It’s in these discussions that fresh ideas emerge and inspire the next project. Growth Through Feedback: Whether it’s feedback on a current project or advice on overcoming a creative block, the wisdom shared within the community is invaluable.

Luck starts with showing up. Want to grow your network? Host an event. Hot take in the age of AI, but sometimes the old ways are best. If you want to do ANYTHING of note, get people together. As an example, I had been in D.C. for 5 years prior to starting SparkGen, DC Tech Parties or helping out with next play. But in the last year, I’ve met more people, encountered more opportunities and made more friends than the first 5 years combined. How? People crave human connection. And hosting is the easiest way to build it. And noooo you don’t have to be an extrovert to host dope events. The only requirement is that you provide a safe space for people to be themselves. Your goal should be for people to drop all the business jargon and buzzwords and revert to a place of genuine human connection. The best time to start? Right now. So, get after it, familia. * I’m referring to Dr. James Austin’s four types of luck from his classic book called Chase, Chance, & Creativity: The Lucky Art of Novelty.

Imagine attending a live event and walking away with new connections and opportunities? It would be a stark contrast to many events where meeting people is almost impossible. Nicole Klug and I taking a different approach to a tech event on July 18 in Toronto. Here's how it'll work: • The focus is connecting people. No more chance or random encounters. It's about networking with a purpose before and after the event. • Participants will share their ideas and insight during three 20-minute roundtable discussions about marketing and AI. Every 20 minutes, you'll switch tables. Whether you're an extrovert who loves the spotlight or an introvert who prefers watching from the sidelines, we'll make sure you'll meet new people We're excited about our line-up of facilitators: • Deena Baikowitz • 🇨🇦 Andrew Jenkins • Daniel Francavilla • Karla Congson • Abeiene N. The event is being held at Creeds Toronto on Dupont St. We're selling 50 seats for $10 each. The registration link is in the comments. #inpersonevents #toronto #connections #networking #marketing #AI

seeing a lot of bad takes that founders aren't serious if they attend conferences like Tech Week. yes, aimlessly attending tons of events is stupid and suggests your priorities aren't in the right place. but not taking advantage of thousands of potential investors, hires and customers flooding into a city looking to network is also stupid. I attended 2 events for Tech Week: - 1 where I caught up with my most important investors and founder friends from out of town. - 1 we hosted where we collected 800+ warm leads and demo'd our product to hundreds of people. it was also a very meaningful milestone and bonding moment for my team it was so successful that we're already planning on another event (and perhaps even launching publicly) at the next Tech Week. humans love to reject things that others view as high status as a means of asserting their own status (look up sprezzatura). say you find Balenciaga distasteful and suddenly you're a taste maker. attending exclusive conference events with top investors and founders is high status, so saying it's cringe suggests you're even higher status, even more important. my recommendation is for founders to ignore what people think and focus on doing whatever will make your company successful. sometimes that's slapping a name tag on and showing up at a "cringe" conference event. other times that's declining an invitation so you can get some coding done.

Networks are about VALUE CREATION and COMMUNITY. 🙌 That's why I had so much fun speaking to the new cohort at Atlanta Tech Village yesterday! 🎙 As always, super grateful to Brandon Winfield for inviting me to drop by. But this is what I wanted to underscore to those founders: At some point, the cohort program ends. Don't let that be the end of your networking! Don't lose that momentum! 🚀 The people who truly master relationship-building are focused on the long-term. Come back to the community and continue to add value for others. That is one of the best ways to really stand out and grow a positive reputation. 🌱 And that reputational value creation is key to building the ACCESS you want for your company. Most people don't have the patience to learn how to create this access -- I'll show you how. 🔥 Excited for the next experience at ATV. Damn I love the Atlanta founder community. 😎 ➡️ Follow The Zero to One Networker to work with me and supercharge your company's access. 🚪 #networking #community #access #technology 😎 #LookForTheOrangeSunglasses

My experience at Tech Fest 2.0 "Fill your life with experiences. Not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show." I recently attended Tech Fest 2.0, and it was an exhilarating experience that exceeded my expectations! Driven by curiosity and a desire to connect with fellow tech enthusiasts, I registered for this event back in October. The stimulating sessions on data security and its growing significance in today's digital landscape, especially its legal connection, had me engrossed throughout. Stimulating sessions and ideas on data security and its heightened importance in this time and age kept me at the edge of my seat throughout. And what's a good outing without a little interaction and networking? Networking was a key highlight for me, and I'm thrilled to have achieved my goal of connecting with 5 influential professionals in tech-related fields. PS:I wish I had more pictures to share, but I don't. I've taken a mental note to take more pictures in my next event. *#TechFest2 #DataSecurity #Networking #Innovation #CommunityBuilding*
