Nine months into 2024, we are glad about what has happened this year, especially our inauguration of the demonstrator facility, and even more about what is yet to come until the end of this year. Some key milestones of our journey indeed were: - Establishment of ProtectLiB GmbH - Filing our patent - Inauguration of our prototype facility at University Graz premises. - Establishing our first customers Additionally, we are thrilled to have been featured in several articles (such as Kleine Zeitung, KURIER Medienhaus, Trending Topics, etc.), a testament to the recognition of our innovative and sustainable process for safe and efficient lithium-ion battery recycling. This would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws), FFG Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH, KWF Kärntner Wirtschaftsförderungs Fonds, Unicorn Start-up & Innovation Hub, and Universität Graz. New Hampshire's history is a testament to the spirit of innovation ingrained in our community. From the earliest settlers harnessing waterpower for sawmills to the Revolutionary War driving shipbuilding efforts, innovation has always been in our DNA. The dominance of textile mills in the 19th century, exemplified by Manchester's Amoskeag Manufacturing Company, showcased our relentless pursuit of progress. As we transitioned into the 20th century, embracing technological advancements led to the birth of aerospace and defense giants like BAE Systems. Today, as a burgeoning tech hub with companies like DEKA Research & Development leading the charge, we continue to honor our legacy through education, collaboration, and forward-thinking initiatives. The Granite State's future is bright, fueled by our unwavering commitment to innovation and industry.

Out now! The latest edition of Re:action, the University of Southampton's research and enterprise magazine, which I'm proud to write and edit with the talented Sophie Lister. This time we showcase how the commercialisation of cutting-edge university research leads to life-changing real-world impacts. It's crammed with fascinating stories of the different routes to market taken by our academic colleagues: from developing new cancer therapies in partnership with industry, to the University spin-out creating hollow-core optical fibre technology so exciting that Microsoft bought the company. We hear how experience from history is being used to help tackle contemporary challenges, and about the Southampton mathematicians helping make our oceans cleaner. And we highlight the ways in which the University nurtures enterprise, including via our colleagues in University of Southampton Innovations & Enterprise. It was a privilege to hear these and many other stories. Grab a cuppa ☕ and have a read 📖 https://lnkd.in/eWCvwR2v
