The turnout was huge, more than 20,000 delegates from 90 countries, among investors, global political players, rulers, mayors, key officials from several EU Member States, USA, and others, joined by the whole community of the real estate industry on a global scale. After yesterday's welcome reception by the Mayor of Cluj-Napoca Emil Boc, today begins the Eurocities Annual Conference with a clear Europeanist message, a clear commitment to the network and the necessary collaboration of cities to continue working on a greener, more innovative, more resilient Europe, based on values, rights and inclusive and diverse democracy.    From Bilbao Udala - Ayuntamiento - City Council it is an honour to participate in this meeting, collaborating to promote the coordination of cities in Spain, to continue working with friendly cities such as Bristol, Espoo, Bordeaux, or Glasgow; to meet colleagues from other friendly networks of Bilbao such as the German Marshall Fund, Atlantic Cities or UCLG; to know even more closely the opportunities offered by this network of cities, and especially the people who make these opportunities possible.
