2️⃣4️⃣ Round 24: Abu Dhabi 2️⃣4️⃣ Well, that's it, folks. We're almost close to the finishing line. The season finale will see the F1 circus head to Abu Dhabi, where the race will be held at the Yas Marina circuit. Yas Marina is well-known to be the season finale for a frequent number of F1 events. In fact, the track debuted as the 2009's F1 season finale, with Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel winning from teammate Mark Webber and the already-crowned 2009 champion Jenson Button. So, what should we look out for this weekend? 👀 Ahead of the 2024 race, here's a little reminder of what happened last season: 🏆 A triumph end to a dominant season: Max Verstappen took his fourth consecutive win in Abu Dhabi to seal a year where he broke numerous records, such as winning 19 races, scoring 21 podiums, and leading over 1000 laps throughout a season. ⚡100 IQ move by Charles Leclerc: The Ferrari driver gave up track position to Sergio Perez in an attempt to lift Ferrari above Mercedes into second position in the constructors' standings. 🌟 The battle between Alpha Tauri and Williams: Alex Albon helped Williams to seal seventh place in the constructors' championship. Verstappen bounces back with dominant win at Japanese GP - https://lnkd.in/gg5AMB2C STEPHEN WADE Associated Press SUZUKA, Japan — Max Verstappen's record-breaking dominance in Formula 1 resumed Sunday with his victory in the Japanese Grand Prix, leading almost the entire race on a sunny day in central Japan. His abrupt breakdown two weeks ago in Melbourne, Australia, looks like a blip in his total command over F1. He was out on the fourth lap when the rear brakes caught fire.Nothing like that this time.Verstappen basically led from start to finish except briefly after a pit stop. He was followed across the finish line by Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez — 12.5 seconds behind — and Carlos Sainz of Ferrari. Sainz was 20 seconds off the pace. The three-time defending F1 champion is again this season's points leader and now has won 22 of the last 26 races dating from the start of the 2023 season. Only two other drivers have won in that span — Red Bull teammate Perez and Sainz, the winner in Australia two weeks ago. People are also reading… Responding to a question, Sainz suggested that Verstappen and Red Bull are so dominant that the season might already be over after just four of 24 races."I think they are definitely going to have an advantage in the first third of the season until we bring in one or two upgrades," Sainz said. "But by that time maybe it's a bit too late with the advantage they might have in the championship."Verstappen, of course, said the season would be competitive and suggested Red Bull might struggle in street races."It's still a very long season," he said. "I don't want to think about the rest of the season too much."A red flag just seconds into the tightly packed first lap when Alex Albon and Daniel Ricciardo clipped each other on the second turn and crashed out halted the race. That was basically the only real drama."The critical bit was the start to stay ahead and after that the car just got better and better," Verstappen said later. "It couldn't have been any better."Both Albon and Ricciardo walked away, apparently without serious injuries. The restart was delayed 30 minutes to get the cars off the track and clear debris.Verstappen, who now has 57 career wins, pushed his season points total to 77 and is 13 clear of Perez on 64. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc follows with 59 with Sainz on 55."It's nice to win, and it's nice to win here in Japan," said Verstappen, whose car is powered by a Honda engine. "It's always an important race for us and it's great to win here in front of Honda.""Melbourne felt like a bit of a hiccup," he added. "But what we did today is what w

📝 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐏: 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 📝 He's done it — the man from Monaco is the man for Monza! Charles Leclerc took a stunning victory in Ferrari's home race, five years after he achieved the same feat on home soil. It shows that despite starting from pole, Lando Norris lost all advantage after being overtaken by his teammate and outsmarted by Ferrari with their outstanding one-stop strategy. In case you missed out on the Italian Grand Prix, here's a little reminder of what happened in Monza: 📉 Red Bull no longer gives you wings: Red Bull has no answer to their rivals McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes in Italy as they saw their lead on the constructor's championship shrinking fast with the former two right within striking distance in the standings. ❌ K-Mag banned: Haas' Kevin Magnussen will be banned from the upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix after collecting 12 penalty points. ↗️The only way is to go up for Williams: After getting rid of Logan Sargeant, Williams scored points in Italy, with Alex Albon finishing ninth while rookie Franco Colapinto finished in a respectable 12th-place finish on his debut. Max Verstappen's stunning victory at the Brazilian Grand Prix, where he surged from 17th on the grid to first place, is a testament to his exceptional skill and determination. This remarkable feat, which included setting the fastest lap 17 times and leading the race by nearly 20 seconds, clearly demonstrates that his triumph was no mere stroke of luck. Verstappen's performance not only highlights his capability as a world champion but also silences critics who might downplay his achievements. In contrast, Lando Norris's comments attributing Verstappen's success to luck fail to acknowledge the extraordinary drive and strategic decisions that characterized this race. Norris, who started from pole position but finished sixth, should recognize that Verstappen's ability to navigate through the pack in challenging wet conditions showcases a level of talent and tenacity deserving of respect, rather than dismissive remarks. This victory is not just another win; it's a clear statement that Verstappen is indeed a deserving champion. #MaxVerstappen #RedBull #RedBullRacing #FIA #F1 #Formula1 Formula 1 #BrazilGP #SaoPaulo #Norris #LandoNorris #SportsNews #BrazilianGrandPrix

1️⃣1️⃣ Round 11: Austria 1️⃣1️⃣ One race of our triple header is down and two to go! Spanish Grand Prix was another Max Verstappen masterclass as the Dutchman pulled all the stops in his strategy and fought well to defend his lead from Lando Norris. Lewis Hamilton also achieved his first podium of the season last time out. This week, F1 will head to Spielberg, Austria. The race is hosted in Red Bull Ring, a high-speed circuit with the breathtaking scenery of the Austrian Alps in the background. So, what should we look out for this weekend? 👀 Ahead of the 2024 race, here’s a little reminder of what happened in Spielberg last season: 👍 Red Bull 1-2 in sprint: Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez made it a 1-2 in the sprint race before the home crowd. However, the pair almost came to blows in the early laps. 🏆 Broken milestones: Max Verstappen’s Sunday victory meant Red Bull had just scored their 10th consecutive race win and surpassed Ayrton Senna for the fifth-most win. Charles Leclerc’s podium finish gave Ferrari their 800th podium in F1. 🤔 Keep it inside the line: The race directors were busy during the race, dishing out penalties for eight drivers for track limit violations Sainz, Hamilton, Gasly, Albon, Ocon, Sargeant, de Vries, and Tsunoda were the ones on the list. Don’t forget that the upcoming Austrian round is a sprint weekend. What’s your prediction for the Austrian GP? Let us know in the comments below! 👇 ** 🏎 Love seeing Formula One content on LinkedIn? Lewis Hamilton's Final Race for Mercedes Ends in Disappointment Lewis Hamilton suffered ill fortune on his final race for Mercedes as Lando Norris claimed the pole position. Hamilton will start his final race for the team 16th on the grid, while Norris led home a McLaren one-two. If there was any need for a moment to sum up Lewis Hamilton's final season for Mercedes, in what is set to be his worst F1 season, it was this gigantic slice of ill fortune in Saturday's qualifying under the night sky in Abu Dhabi. In need of improvement on his final lap in Q1, Hamilton looked pacy until a loose bollard flew under his car floor and stayed there, wedged, for the rest of his lap. Needless to say, it impacted his speed and he qualified third-slowest in his 246th and final qualifying session for Mercedes. He will start 16th on Sunday due to grid penalties. The disappointing qualifying session marks a significant setback for Hamilton, who was expected to finish his final season with Mercedes on a high note. However, the incident with the bollard ultimately cost him a chance at a better starting position for the race. Hamilton's final race for Mercedes ends in disappointment as he starts 16th on the grid. It's a bitter-sweet end to his tenure with the team, but he can take solace in the fact that he will be remembered as one of the greatest drivers in the sport. #sport #sportrace

#Monaco is over and Formula 1 now has its 4th race winner of the year as Charles Leclerc takes his first victory since the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prixin 2022 and now F1 is back in #NorthAmerica for the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA which means that once again it is time for my preview and predictions, can Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology bounce back and once again claim victory after losing last time out or will Charles Leclerc and Ferrari make it two wins in a row, also Mclaren will be looking to continue their fine form with both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz in the other Ferrari will be looking to bounce back after a couple of tricky races. Sergio Perez in the Red Bull will be looking for a better race after crashing out at the start of the Monaco GP. For Mercedes-AMG GmbH they are all alone as the 4th fastest team as Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are ahead of the cars behind but a long way off of the cars that are ahead of them such as Aston Martin who will be looking to get back in the points with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll as they have been struggling now for a couple of races and they are coming under pressure from Yuki Tsunoda in the VCARB. The Canadian Grand Prix at #Montreal is a great circuit which has a lot of history and incidents often happen as the tight chicanes have walls close by. Will anyone find themselves in the legendary Wall of Champions? #F1 #Formula1 #F1Race #F1Weekend #F1Quali #F1Testing #F1Sprint #F1Driver #F1Team #F1Fan #MercedesAMGF1 #RedBullRacing #Ferrari #ScuderiaFerrari #McLaren #AlpineF1 #AstonMartinF1 #WilliamsF1 #AlfaRomeoF1 #HaasF1 #AlphaTauri #LewisHamilton #MaxVerstappen #CharlesLeclerc #SebastianVettel #LandoNorris #DanielRicciardo #FernandoAlonso #CarlosSainz #SergioPerez #GeorgeRussell

Qatar Grand Prix Post-Race Results 🏎️🇶🇦 We’re officially back with the penultimate race of the season! Podium: 🥇 Max Verstappen 🥈 Charles Leclerc 🥉 Oscar Piastri Key pointers from the race: ◽️ Lap 1: In Turn 1, Ocon, Colapinto, Hulkenberg, Albon, and Stroll collided, leading to a yellow flag and a safety car. Ocon and Colapinto had to retire early, a tough break for the young Colapinto, who’s been struggling in recent races. Hulkenberg continued but suffered damage to his wheel. ◽️ Lap 7–10: Lance Stroll received a 10-second penalty and was instructed to retire. However, he briefly rejoined the race before officially retiring by Lap 10. What was the reasoning behind that? ◽️ Lap 5–13: Intense action between the Kick Sauber and Visa RB teams unfolded. FIA penalties poured in, with Stroll and Lawson each receiving 10-second penalties. ◽️ Mercedes and Ferrari struggled with pit stops: • Lap 14: Russell’s stop took 7.0 seconds as the team battled to remove his rear-right wheel, causing him to lose his position to Piastri. • Ferrari’s stop for Sainz lasted 9.8 seconds, as wheel pressure issues added to their struggles. ◽️ Lap 32: Alex Albon lost a side mirror on track, which Bottas later ran over. Debris caused punctures for Sainz and Hamilton, significantly impacting their races. ◽️ Yellow Flag incidents: • Lando Norris received a 10-second stop/go penalty for failing to slow under the yellow flag, delaying the Constructors’ Championship decision to the final race in Abu Dhabi. • Shortly after, Hamilton received a drive-through penalty for speeding in the pit lane, dropping him behind Norris in 14th. ◽️ Lando Norris’ recovery: After his penalty, Norris clawed his way back to finish 10th, earning 1 point along with the fastest lap bonus. Below, you’ll find my graphic designs and a link to my TikTok video recapping race highlights. Next week: The FINAL race in Abu Dhabi, marking the end of a season filled with unexpected podiums and moments. It’s a race where we’ll say goodbye to some drivers and witness final runs with teams before changes are made.
