🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We successfully kicked off our "Promote Wellness" series with a therapeutic art session exclusively for members of Ability@Vizient! 🎨✨ Hosted by Amelia Knott, a Registered Psychotherapist, Art Therapist, and Author, this session explored the transformative power of art for self-care. We challenged common myths, debunking the belief that art requires talent and experience or is only for kids. Instead, we learned that therapeutic art provides a break from perfectionism and a way to express emotions. During the session, we transformed paper through altering shape, size, and texture. Thought-provoking questions like "What do I notice?", "What does it remind me of?", "If it had a personality...", and "What would it ask me for?" generated insightful responses. We then incorporated impactful words and phrases into a representation of our experience. The session left us inspired, rejuvenated, and connected, reinforcing the importance of self-care within the Ability@Vizient community. #PromoteWellness #SelfCareMatters #ArtTherapy #WellnessJourney #AbilityAtVizient

Here & now work can shift so much in therapy. It may not always land (trust me, I've been there 😅), but when it does, the transformation is incredible. It opens up space for genuine connection and understanding, allowing both therapist and client to explore emotions in real time! (Swipe to enjoy a different form of storytelling—this might not be my strongest suit!) #hereandnow #mentalhealthmatters #processoriented #relationaltherapy

Here’s a fun fact for you for the #WorldMentalHealthDay: we touch our phones more often than we touch people we love or care for. In this digital world, we’re starting to relate more to technology rather than through it. And the algorithmic tech is designed to keep us there: it’s really good at creating seductive individualised bubbles, at the expense of genuine connections. How has technology shaped your mind today? Are you using it to express yourself with freedom and be closer to the loved ones or are you solving to fit the algorithm’s functions and its incentives? Sometimes, the most fitting thing we can do is disconnect in order to reconnect. Here’s a picture from my day. I was in a classroom, and the view outside, in its Autumn robes, reminded me of the most powerful algorithm: the rhythm of nature. I am trying to stay tuned to that. #WorldMentalHealthDay #DigitalWellbeing #MentalHealth #MindfulTech

When I first tstarted online therapy, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Would it feel as personal? Would the connection still be there? Would it be as effective? It was a completely new way of working for me, and it challenged me to adapt in ways I hadn’t imagined. 💻✨ Over time, I’ve learned that while online therapy is different, it brings its own strengths and insights: 🌟 Flexibility Matters: Whether it’s adapting to tech hiccups, shifting between platforms, or holding space in a virtual room, online therapy has pushed me to be more adaptable than ever before. It’s a reminder that growth often comes from stepping outside of our comfort zones. 🎧 Deep Listening Is Key: Without the shared physical space, I’ve learned to rely even more on tone, pauses, and words unspoken. Listening deeply isn’t just about hearing—it’s about truly understanding what’s beneath the surface. 💬 Connection Is Still Possible: Whether we’re sitting across from each other in person or through a screen, connection happens when there’s trust, presence, and care. It’s been incredible to see clients feel supported and understood, even in this new format. While online therapy has its challenges, it’s also taught me a lot about resilience and the power of human connection. As therapists, we’re constantly adapting to meet clients where they are—whether in a room, over the phone 📞, or on a screen. If you’ve experienced online therapy, as a practitioner or client, what’s one thing it’s taught you? #LifeInTheDayOfATherapist #OnlineTherapy #Telehealth #MentalHealthMatters

Would you trust new tech with your health? Stay tuned to Othenti-k, the results of our qualititative study on Healthcare innovation practices coming up soon!
Would you trust new technology with your health?🌡 Technology is reshaping how we manage our physical and mental health. In the hopeful words of Dr Deepak Chopra: "Technology has the power to democratize healthcare, giving everyone access to the care they need, when they need it." But the idea of trusting tech, particularly the latest fad, with our health can be incredibly daunting. I mean, would you consult an AI-art therapist? 🎨 As an innovation agency powered by neurodiversity, we find this topic fascinating, so we made it the focus of our latest newsletter.
