Hey Moms and Dads, This month's Innerlifeparenting Book Club has been reading the book "Nourished" by Deborah MacNamara and we've been having the most amazing "a-ha" moments together! Join me for a transformative webinar based on these insights that goes beyond mere nutrition and delves into the heart of family meals: "Transforming Mealtime Challenges into Family Bonding". Tuesday, February 27, 2024, 9:30am-11am via zoom Inspired by the profound insights of Dr. MacNamara, this session explores the intricate dance of attachment that unfolds around the dinner table. As parents, we strive to nourish our children not just physically but emotionally, fostering a deep-rooted connection that transcends the act of eating. Through a blend of storytelling and scientific principles, this webinar will guide you in transforming everyday feeding into an enriching experience that satisfies the deepest hungers of the heart. Whether you're navigating the challenges of picky eaters or looking to enrich your family's mealtime connections, "Transforming Mealtime" will provide you with the keys to making each meal a fulfilling and nourishing dance of attachment. Would you get in a car without knowing where it was going? Introducing a baby to solids is exciting but it can be a daunting task too. It's not just about those early tastes though. It's a whole journey. I think it's so important parents know what they are aiming for when they introduce solids. It helps them be mindful and purposeful in their approach. The First Foods Course is not just about those early tastes but the whole process right through the toddler years. Parents who did the course 10 years ago tell me they still go back to the principles they learnt. The next course starts next week. Delivered online to increase access and reduce cost. 3 sessions of 90 minutes each. Could you benefit or know someone else who could? Share this post with a friend. Because children's health and family mealtimes matter. https://lnkd.in/ekPCR_Cm

🌟 Shedding Light on Feeding Issues: Beyond Behavior 🌟 Every time I hear a parent share that their child has been labeled with a "behavioral feeding problem," my heart skips a beat. Why? Because this tells me that these parents, through no fault of their own, are navigating their child's feeding challenges without the full picture. It's a common scenario that leaves many feeling frustrated and helpless. But what if I told you that behavior is just the tip of the iceberg, a symptom of deeper, unaddressed needs? This realization was the catalyst for creating the Picky Eater Profile Quiz at Foodology Feeding. Our mission? Behavior isn't just behavior; it's a signal, a clue that there's an imbalance somewhere, whether it's sensory, motor, emotional, or gut. Our profile quiz isn't just another questionnaire. It's a custom-crafted tool exclusive to Foodology Feeding, designed to uncover your child's unique areas of need. It's about giving you the clarity and direction that's been missing, showing you not only where to focus your efforts but also helping you understand if you've been led to concentrate on the wrong areas. 🍽️ Ready for Insight? 🍽️ The best part? Access to this eye-opening quiz is completely free through our **FREE Parent Workshop: Unlocking Mealtimes. Speech development is linked to how children eat. Pouched foods with straws, introduced in 2010, led to an increase in speech challenges, particularly with the letters M, L, N, and B. #speechtherapy #speechdevelopment #smallbusiness #OrganicBabyFood #HealthAndWellness #BambinosBabyFood

Parents! Are you struggling to find a meal prep routine that caters to your child's unique dietary needs? Some of our parents have turned mealtime challenges into opportunities for nutrition and connection with their children with autism! Here are a few: 𝟏𝟎 𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏 𝐒𝐔𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐍 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐌 𝟏 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐰 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬: Involve your child in choosing colorful fruits and veggies. It’s a fun way to engage them and explore new foods. 𝟐 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬: Establish a consistent meal prep schedule. Predictability can be comforting for children with autism. 𝟑 𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤: Prepare grab-and-go snacks like apple slices or carrot sticks. Having options on hand reduces stress during busy days. 𝟒 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐬: Let your child help with simple tasks like stirring or washing veggies. It builds interest and acceptance of new foods. 𝟓 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐬: Experiment with different textures. * I would like to make an edit, I removed the creators face and her handle this way we could keep her anonymous There’s another side to this discussion that strikes a chord with me - the simple joy of letting kids be kids. When you think about it, whether they’re 6 or 16, our children embracing the joy of something as simple as team snacks is a part of childhood we should cherish. Yes, feeding a baseball team of teenagers might seem daunting - they could practically devour everything in sight, from 36 beef sticks to 6 whole granola bars each - but it’s about so much more than the food. It’s a reminder that, despite their growing independence, these moments of gratitude and connection are precious. Every 'thank you' from a 16-year-old for a snack is not just manners; it's a fleeting glimpse of their younger selves, a sign they still value the simple acts of care we provide. It serves as a poignant reminder that the first 18 years might be a small fraction of their lives, but these years lay the groundwork for the individuals they become. So, while we ponder on healthier options and how to implement them, let’s also remember to savor the simplicity and innocence of these moments. We provide snacks 2 days a week!! Let’s appreciate their willingness to accept this care from us, the bite of a granola bar, the sip of a drink, not just for its nutritional value but for its emotional warmth. Sure, we’re talking about making healthier choices, but we’re also talking about preserving the essence of childhood and adolescence—a time of growth, yes, but also a time of simple pleasures and thankfulness. As we navigate these discussions and think about healthier snack rotations, let’s hold on to the importance of letting them be little, of recognizing that these are the moments we’ll look back on with fondness. We’re nurturing not just healthy bodies but happy, grateful hearts. So here’s to balancing nutrition with the joy of childhood, to cherishing these moments that, though they may seem small now, are significant chapters in the story of their lives and ours. Plus, we do have a few moms on our team that do bring propel water and bananas. 🤣😂
