Knowledge for the day: ⬇️🧠 A journeyman 👨 is a skilled worker who has completed an apprenticeship and can work independently in their trade. They often have several years of experience and may supervise apprentices. An apprentice 👦 is a beginner learning a trade under the guidance of a journeyman or master, combining on-the-job training with classroom instruction. In short: Apprentices are learners, while journeymen are experienced workers! #construction #journeyman #apprentice #meme #funny

I would imagine that the author of this post also has no idea, based on the caption added.

"Knowledge for the day". Don't take advice from this post that advocates Zero regard for safety. #nothingfunnyaboutthisbehaviour

Not sure I’d want to place anyone with a “journeyman” responsible for the health & safety of his workers who is allowing his apprentice to exit a roof like that 🤦🏼♀️ ⚰️

This post is completely inappropriate, the ladder is not extended at least 3ft above the edge to allow for safe transition, he doesn’t have any fall arrest equipment on, and his supervisor is mocking him. If I was in that situation (I would refuse to work in those conditions) I’d be crawling down the roof too. This is unacceptable.

Your description of this video is incorrect.  This is showing an Apprentice not receiving the proper training from the Journeyman.  The whole purpose of the Journeyman is to train, guide, coach, motivate, and mentor an Apprentice.  Sure, you can rib and jab to a degree (ie - hiding their tools when they leave them unattended, etc...).  However, on a roof is no time for jokes.  Just like there is no playing around of any kind when an Electrician in tying in.  Filming this instead of teaching him the proper and safe way to execute, is unprofessional and completely stupid.

Rahid Aziz thanks for sharing your post however, there is absolutely no connection between the post narrative and the video showing some unidentified guy taking huge and uncontrolled safety risks with his own life and safety. Such risk filled actions on a steeply pitched roof should always be condemned. #see something, say something, #home without harm everyone every day. this guy is no model for Apprentices, or for Journeymen (which correctly are an intermediate stage between trainee / apprentice and fully skilled worker), or fully an experienced Trades-person when accessing and how to work or inspect roofs

Looks like a lot of people are getting the wrong message from the video… it just goes to show the confidence a skilled expert had vs. the novice who is treppidly moving on the roof. Are there safety issues…yes! But, so are there in any industry at any given moment.
